I have not but looks interestingHas anybody used the magical butter filter press? I am leaning towards picking one up just because I hate trying to ring out cheesecloth and I feel like cheesecloth and coffee filters waste so much oil by absorbing it.

Not getting drunk. It was too much last few days. Just weed and champagne for a midnight toast. What's the menu for tonight, anyone doing something special?

Mornin’ y’all,What's the menu for tonight, anyone doing something special?
I've found that if you get 70 - 80% of the input oil back out, you're doing well - the rest ends up in the composter. The oil seems to rise to the top on its own over time in the MB machine, so it takes about a week to recover most of the oil, but little filtration is required if you have the time to let things settle.Has anybody used the magical butter filter press? Chinese food will be ordered with some lemon chicken for sure.Morning! 3rd day of warm air.
Snow melted, so the fog finally dissapated yesterday afternoon.
Not much to do at work today, no one wanted to schedule anything for last week or this week.

I use a metal tofu press or a potato ricer for small amounts depending on which is clean from kitchen exploits, both just have a hard surface touching the material, and if you are strong or heavy you can really squeeze the material dry.Has anybody used the magical butter filter press? I bet my dab press could get most of it out or crush it like a penny on the railroad tracks lol.I use a metal tofu press or a potato ricer for small amounts depending on which is clean from kitchen exploits, both just have a hard surface touching the material, and if you are strong or heavy you can really squeeze the material dry.
Does it have a good way of siphoning the oil into one place? I bet that amount of pressure would really work if so. I wonder if the puck of stuff would be solid or crumbly...I bet my dab press could get most of it out or crush it like a penny on the railroad tracks lol.
Guessing it looks like this. Lots of pressure can be placed in this heavy duty unit. We used to use it to press the grease from pork cracklings.I use a metal tofu press or a potato ricer for small amounts depending on which is clean from kitchen exploits, both just have a hard surface touching the material, and if you are strong or heavy you can really squeeze the material dry.
Very similar, yes. It does let a little material through, but I just let the oil settle then gently pour it through a mesh strainer.Guessing it looks like this. Lots of pressure can be placed in this heavy duty unit. We used to use it to press the grease from pork cracklings.
