Close but not the same - When I see a deer in the field I envision venison pepperettes - somewhat spicy, mixed with 20% pork belly, a bit of fennel seed and slightly dehydrated for a better chew experience. When I look at purple cabbage I want to take a big knife and slice it right down middle. I love the sound and the feel of it. The inside , when sliced like that had a beautiful pattern.
