What did you hit? That's a lot of damage!
I was coming down a hill that I always ride, and there’s always a little rut at the bottom of the hill, but I hadn’t ridden there since all the rain, and didn’t notice that the little tiny rut had become a gaping maw in the earth until I was right up on it. I lifted my front wheel in an attempt to get over it, but ended up casing my front wheel hard on the far edge of the hole instead.

Good considering what happened, lol, buckled my front fork and pushed the tire in between my frame and chain ring…stopped the tire immediately and sent me careening over the bars,
Lol, at like 25mph.

My “good” shoulder took the brunt of the fall, but I still have full range of motion. Just sore on my right side in general.
Good to hear you didn't do to much damage! It looks a lot worse! My thumbs still complains a lot from being broken riding snowmobile. Been in a couple of bad crashes myself but only managed to break fingers and toes luckily! Backplates really work!

That could have been so much worse. Thank god you're okay.

Shit, that's how we lost @Singlemalt in the last torrential down pour.

As long as there's no bicyclist or dog is hurt in the making of the bike ride it's all good lol have fun stay safe out there
There was actually a dog incident. On a real back road. this probably 6 y.o. kid is riding his power wheels jeep IN the road, with his doggy. I was like, oh shit, I sure hope this dog is friendly. It was, and it started following me. I was almost to the busy intersection, and it looked like a young friendly dog, so I stopped, and yelled at it to go home, and low and behold it did!! Good doggy!!

My Fitbit says over 17k steps so far and only 6 pm :o

Always, lol, I have a kid, and I don’t have a deathwish. I have to switch my helmet out cause I took a little boo to it when I fell. No visual cracks, but I have a newer Fox helmet to switch over to that hasn’t been in any accidents.
I do the same thing with my motorcycle helmets. If I drop it from higher than waist high, I try to replace it as you just don't know what cracked on the inside. It got expensive when I used to drink. Oops....300 bucks :wall:

Wait, what?! What the fuck happened to @Singlemalt !!?!
Oh yeah @Singlemalt you know he was scarce around here because amongst other upgrades he was building a moat. So you want to build an effective but socially responsible depth moat when you're him. This marvel of engineering, it really was too, was about 4-6' deep. Unfortunately his utilities were not buried much deeper so when the torrential downpours came his internet left.

He's ok, although iterating to moat version 2.0
