Just drove an hour one way to the local hydro shop only to find out they're out of Root Riot plugs for cloning arghhh! Had to get rockwool which I haven't used in 5 years. Hopefully I'll still get roots but 2 hours in traffic is just nuts to not find something so basic. It's Amazon from now on.
Can't you root directly into cups of your medium instead?

+4 is the forecast for overnight. Maybe Lake Scugog will help to moderate the temps a hair or the leaves on the trees above the girls will help to disperse anything that tries to settle.

Wish m'ladies luck!!
Crossing all the digits for ya @StareCase ! City temps are holding at around 7 overnight so we’ll stay the course here. Garage handy? It’s saved my ass this last week with rain & wind. Scugog might help regulate the temps as it’s a big body of water :D

I was continuing my venting to a local growmie and he's bringing me a few dozen in the morning so they're just going to hang out in cups of water for the night. I'll try a couple in the rockwool just to see if I get them to root. I was a very new grower the last time I tried them, maybe now it will be easier.

I got some rockwool cubes to root clones in because that's what my buddy grows in. Man, I still hate that stuff. Lol. The rapid rooters seemed better in every way. In my opinion.

I had a similar slump with no plugs, but just jammed the clonexed stems into cups of coco rather than put pants on and find riot plugs. Now I root my cuttings in a goofy mix of sometimes tap water, sometimes cups of coco, and sometimes riot cubes.

I am such a lazy cutting carer x.X

I've always planted seeds in rapid rooters. I was out this last go round and dropped them right into coco and it worked like a charm. I'll have to try clones that way. May pick up some of the miniature solo cups for the purpose.

Lake Scugog is 12 km long and about 1 km wide where we are. The only "issue" with Scugog is the depth. It's a really shallow lake - maybe 10 feet deep here - and cools down quicker than other lakes. And I guess this is better news - but earlier tonight, Ross Hull (Global TV's Weather Dude) mentioned that the frost advisory is more for Northern Durham Region - like Beaverton and points further north - so we might be south enough that it misses us.

But if you don't mind DM - can you also ask Miz Chiz to cross some of her digits as well? Cause I don't wanna lose these two:
