OK RIU - your help again please. I am a DWC'er with about 2yrs under my belt using MH &HPS. I recently took some clones, transplanted to MG Topsoil and set up at 2x4x60 tent with 600w full spectrum led. Clones came from 400w MH. Girls are starting to bleach out. I've up'd the calmag and added better ventilation. led is over 36 inches above girls. I believe this top soil has some fertilizer in it so I haven't added any nutes.

Appreciate any help as am virgin on led and soil. (Will post pic soon)

Thanks.

This is not bleaching. Bleaching yields an almost completely white patch in an otherwise healthy looking area of leaf matter. The best visual comparison I can think of is vitiligo.

Looks like a toxic salt build up, with an overwatering problem. Stay away from MG products, its gonna produce problems just like this.

OK. They were transplanted a week ago into MG and put under led - so not enough time for salt build up. No nutes added either. I'm beginning to think maybe it is heat stress...

yes they are hungry because they cannot intake nutrients because the roots are drowned. If you check them everyday, why do you need to give them so much water?

They were only water once with the transplanting. I did not add nutes because they went into MG. Mind you these plants are clones from a dwc cloner so they were started in all water.

This is my 1st time with LED so I assumed it may have been bleaching. RIU is a teaching forum so I am looking for insights on how to ensure a healthy grow. If it is not bleaching they must be heat stressed or hungry which means I need to feed/water again. As mentioned above the plant was droopy at lights out. At lights on they were praying again. I understand in 2 years of growing that this is normal.

I appreciate and welcome any and all constructive criticism - Not sure we're you read a watering schedule from me as there hasn't been any. These plants were vibrant until the transplant in MG from DWC. Maybe its transplant shock. I am not sure. Which is why I reached out to this forum.

If you can help, thanks. If you can't, please leave me to one who might. Again Thanks.

Imo they do not need food. I have to agree with lock out or over watering. Definitely not bleaching. Let them dry out completely in between waterings. I have heard nothing but bad things about MG, Ive never used it but maybe its hot and their is already too many nutes in it. Just my opinion

MG Has nutes in it and its hard to tell whats going on ive heard so much bad info about MG soil time releasing nutes or summat like that and if its under a led that far from plants it surely shouldnt be heat stress what are the temps did u ph the water also the comment about the plants starving was because of being drenched what are your temps at canopy dont water until the pot dries out inbetween watering u need to let the soil dry out a bit before giving any more water

Thanks 707Humbolt - I was thinking the same thing about nute burn after looking at the girls last nite. I would have gone with promix but MG was all I had at the time and these ladies had to come out of the cloner right then since roots were starting to intertwine. They do seem to look better without my intervention. I am waiting patiently as that is all I can do at this point.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

Thanks for clarifying. I believe it is nute burn. Been so long since I've had to deal with that didn't pick up on it right away. You are correct as the pot dries they appear to look better. I should not have watered with the transplanting and should definitely have waited for some promix.
Thanks again for your help!

its my pleasure glad your ladies are looking better
just try to get a good guide when to water too many over doo the process dry time is as good if not better as wet time for plants , they can cope better to under watering than over watering let it dry out between watering and they should be ok just watch out for MG time realising fertilizers
