F-ing hoppers. I kill them by hand, but my plant is just in my backyard. They flee like mad if I try to squash them, but for some reason, long-bladed scissors are not in their evolutionary fear programming.
If I couldn't access my plant regularly, I'd try a capsasin (hot pepper) folial spray. Don't know how well it would work, but something non-toxic that stays on the leaves would be required (in my world).
I noticed one hopper on top of my highest cola the other day. A bit of it was nibbled on and the hopper was vomiting up that nasty dark brown crap. Made me think that subspecies of hopper doesn't tolerate MJ leaves all that well.
Sure is a bad hopper year in my neck of the woods.

Exactly it inceticide soap from walmart lolNeem, insecticidal soap, de etc
I treat my outdoor once every week to two weeks with Neem, Spinosad, and BT mixed together at full strength with 1/4 to 1/2 strength nutes mixed in. Treat at sunset. If sunlight is on the plants when they are wet with this stuff, it will burn the leaves badly. I stop spray applications when buds start forming.
