blue dream run (round 2)

whats up everyone i am running 24 blue dream girls on a drip system under 2 6oo's and a 1000 in the middle. i am using a 4x8 tray and running cutting edge nutrients. this is my second run with this set up. had a little problem with poweder mildew and eventually some botrytis on my last run so this time i decided to cut it down to 24 plants and i have also started to flower my girls at 6 inches so prevent over crowdness and to keep my plants as short as possible. i am not topping these babies due to the huge tops they get without topping. here are some pics as of day 5 of flowering. Comments, advice, suggestions are all very welcome. i will be updating this journal as my girls matture. i am also sing a air purifier and a de hummidfier. i have a constant humidity of 45%.

nitrients:
cutting edge-grow
cutting edge micro
cutting edge-bloom
Cal-Mag
Advanced nutrients- bud candy
hydrozyme
general hydro-kool bloom (liquid)

will be using super natural super boost and bud blaster during the last 2 weeks.

cheers!

I dont have much experience in hydro, but will capilary action actually allow the water to reach the root mass in the 4" cubes by just placing them on top the 6"? Does that cause any issues down the road (having roots in two cubes)?

Nice looking setup! I grow BD in soil - love the plant, easy to care for and a good producer. I am intersted to see how she does in hydro.

well the 4" cubes dont get completely dry, when they water it runs through the 4 and locks into the 6, watering the roots but not soaking them and allowing them to look for the water but reaching down to the 6". creates a bigger root system (more roots better yield).

That totally makes sense to me. Bigger roots are always better for your grow.

I think the Bud Candy helps out a lot too when getting you some amazing results, but that's just my AN-blindness speaking. Had to say it.

You're a grower that really knows what they're doing. Refreshing, really.

Can't wait to see what happens with this board - well done here. :leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

thanks boss appreciate your comment and support. Ive never flipped my plants into budding when there as young as they where (6-7") so im curious to see how these plants turn out. i would of vegged longer but due to height restrictions and im moving so i wanted to bud them as soon as possible.

And as far as the bud candy goes. you couldn't be more right. the amount of difference ive seen when not using bud candy to using it has been amazing. the plants cant seem to get enough of it and my yields and down right dankness of my buds since ive added it to my regiment have gone way up. they recommend using it through week 1-6 of budding but i use it all the way to flush, upping the dosage in the last 2 weeks and the plants respond veeeeery well to it.

but like i said this is a bit of a experiment for me budding them so young so ill keep you all updated on progress.

as always input advice comments and concerns are appreciated.

thanks for tuning in guys!

Looks good. I have a similar set up. 4x8 table with a 55 gal res, 3 1000's on 14 plants that have been lst'ed. I flood and drain. Just transfered them into the 6x6, had them in the 2x2 for about a month. doing purps in there. I did a grow of BD and have several going right now just not in that set up.

I used CES for a while and switched to GH recently. After I have used my supply up I will be going back to CES, I had a bigger yield I think.

I am curious to know about the size and the yield you get from them also.

I get overcrowded too. Just maintain your sog and you will be good. Check out my prune jobs on my thread if you have a minute, may help with crowding.

Really interested to see what this finishes like...Got BD clones coming in a week and going to take a crack at these...

Got any pictures or updates? Btw, how tall are they now?

We too got some mold...it was allowed to get waaaaay too himid and needed another fan for sure.

BTW, I was just doing the math...you got some serious fire-power there for lights. I would think 2 600s (without the 1000) should cover 32 sq ft perfectly...that would be about 6,000 lumens/sq foot! We used 3 cheap-ass 400s and seemed to have more than enough light to cover the 4'x8' area...haven't quite finished trimming and drying, but it looks like the total yield was 25-30 ounces (that was with 6 plants).
