Thank you Teflon I appreciate your all thoughts. I would think so since im getting most of my setup ideas from looking at how you have been growing your BHD. Im just downsizing alittle bit going for at least 1/2 ounce per plant. I also have another BHD seed germinating and I will have 2 BHD's in my box and once I figure out if my bagseed is male or female I can tell you want im planning on doing with that.

Cool cool, A half an oz is easily attainable with the bhds. I think you will surprise yourself, at least that's what I hope for ya.

Do these BHD's take awhile to start off cause mine feel like there moving at a snails pace. Been 4 days and its barely sprouted out the soil. My Bagseed blew up in 5 days and my BHD is nowhere close to it.... Heres day 4BHD Day 4 (1-11-2011).jpg Did everything the same as my bagseed... which is why im confused.... But then again im always confused :S

Be patient, they will take off when they get a couple of leaves to collect light. I think maybe you started them a little deep. I barely cover them a 1/4" deep at the most. Yours just take an extra day or two getting to the light. I don't think that is a bad thing. It is still growing under the dirt and getting deeper roots as it pushes up to the surface. There is also the fact that seeds from the same genetics or even same mother will have some variation in the way they grow or their phenotype.

Here are a few pics of my six blues.(age in file names)

I cut down one of the girls I have been snipping on. Even though I have smoked a few fat joints off of her she still had a lot to give. She is in the box my xbox came in to give it scale I didn't bother with weighing it all because I had already plucked at it. That purple lavenderish bud was 52 grams by itself.

And here is next weeks centerfold to be.
#9day61.jpg
This one is going to be a monster in terms of yield. The buds are solid. I could put the top in a sock and stun someone with a blow to the head. Although there are better ways to stun some one with a chunk of bud.

The problem with smoking pot like a member of Snoop dogs entourage is i am always forgetting shit, like what I came in the room for or what I was just saying. I have been meaning to give these odor absorbing gels two thumbs up. I found them at lowes for 4 bucks a piece. I live in a small place and it was getting out of hand in here. I had a friend come over and he never made it through the door before stopping dead in his tracks like someone slapped him with a fruity skunk. I got three of them a couple of weeks ago and the smell is barely noticeable at all. They are supposed to last 90 days.

The odds of catching me harvesting are in your favor. I have been cutting every week or so for a couple of months now and loving every single day of it.

This is my first post on this forum, glad to meet y'all, I've been trolling some time. I bought a single hbd fem seed a little while back and plan to start it as soon as I get back home (18th).

The extreme lack of info on this strain tempted me to try one of the other strains I ordered. However I thankfully found this thread, thank you so much to all that have contributed.

Ill be growing in a shallow tray with an inch of lava rock on the bottom and 8L of ffoc on top. I'm growing in a rubbermaid container with 7 26w soft whit cfls and 1 26w 6000 temp cfl. I have a very limited amount of space so I'm hoping to do some training.

Has anyone had success with topping this strain or a similar autoflower? If so what node did you cut it at, do you think it hurt the yield and was it detrimental in anyway? I'd love to top my hbd at node 3 or 4 then use lst on all resulting branches to keep the plants overall height very low but only if it ewont ruin my yield.

Advice?

I'm also interested in making seeds, though I only have one hbd seed and its feminized. Anyone have experience with collodial silver on autos or maybe even harvesting all but one good sized bud then using light "poisoning" or old age to produce male organs? I'm a new grower (obviously), sorry if I'm way off the mark, but if its possible to make seeds with only one autoflower female plant and then to only impregnate some of its flowers, please any help would be great.

Awesome pictures guys! If it were not for this thread I probably wouldn't be trying out the strain

The best piece of advice I can give you right now is do not top your plant. You will destroy your yield. Autos will not branch out they will just start budding at the nub you left when you cut it. As far as the breeding goes There are ways to get seeds but I just keep it simple and order mixed sex seeds. If you are going to use a non auto to cross with you should know that the auto trait is recessive and any offspring will be a mixed bunch. Two autos should on the other hand produce all auto seeds. Like a blue eyed couple will only have blue eyed children. There is another site dedicated to autos. autoflower.net and there are people there that can better answer your breeding question as they themselves are breeders. And for Gods sake don't top or fim your auto you will only be disappointed in the results.

Thank you for the very fast reply! I've seen claims that topping does and dosent cause issues with autoflowers, I'm going to take your word. No topping for me! Ill just do a massive amount of lst. My maximum head space (above soil) is 10".

Thanks again for the help, ill check out that site.

About the hbd, how common would you say the blue phenotype is? Any idea if there are certain environmental conditions that help bring out the blue hue?

I'm curious about using BAP in spray form during the vegetative stage, may considerably contribute to side growth. I use it on cacti all the time, haven't seen any mention of it with pot.

I'm not familiar with BAP. Bur you should be able to lst to fit in 10" As for bringing out color I think cool temps can make it show color more. Look up the wiz on the other site he is a breeder of colored strains and could answer your questions about that better.

So far so good on the blues. It sucks that I had to go and burn a couple of plants with the neem oil but on the bright side I learned that lesson before I started these lovelies.

I only have one full size, full on flower bitch left right now. I will be sad to have to cut her down next week. It's nice to have buds to hang out with. They will be back soon enough.

Thats the difference between someone with a good amount of expirence growing and someone who is a beginner.... No offense hornedfrog don't mean anything personal by it. Teflon has been doing this for awhile so he has everything dialed in just right. Im still working on getting everything right. My first BHD was dead from day 2-5 and some how came back to life with some water... My bagseed turned male so I tossed it. Now I have 3 total BHD's in my stealth box. One BHD is on day 8 and thats the one that was dead for 3 days and came back to life so it is stunted and will be a week behind on growth. My other 2 just sprouted and will be showing leaves within a day or two. Heres some updated pictures.BHD Setup (1-14-2011).jpgBHD Day 8 (1-15-2011).jpgBHD #2 (1-15-2011).jpgBHD # 3 (1-15-2011).jpg
