Blueberry Clones and Autopots, Oh my

Hello, this will be my 5th grow, but the first one I've documented here. I've had some pretty decent results so far, and things are improving with each new grow. Hoping for some stellar results this time around. I'm running clones, and use a smaller 2x2 tent for propagating them.

I'm running a Gavita 1700 LED in a 4x4 tent. To help regulate the environment, I have an 6 inch intake fan hooked up to a prefilter and another 6 inch exhaust fan with a carbon filter. Also use a small oscillating fan at the ground level and another clip on fan blowing over the Gavita's heatsinks.

This is my second run in autopots, and will be my first time using Plant Prod MJ nutes. They are specifically designed to grow marijuana, so I'm optimistic going into this grow. Cheers

I've got the autopots hooked up to the res after handwatering for 10 days. The clones are short and bushy, no signs of sex yet, despite being taken around day 30. I'm assuming they are female, but will need to keep a close eye on them.

Also planted a seed in the 2x2. Skywalker Kush fem. I've grown out some skywalker clones already and was really pleased with the strain. Nice dense buds with a really interesting terp profile. Will be taking clones from it in about a month. A buddy also wants me to plant some blue dream to take clones from too. Going to be a real rootin tootin good time up in here.

Things were starting to get pretty crowded again, so I've stripped another grocery bag worth of leaves and growth tips to open things up. These blueberry clones would look more like shrubs if I let them go as nature intended.

I'd like to fill about 3/4's of the scrog net before flowering. Vertical growth has been slow, but it's looking like I could flip over to flower within a week or two. Blueberry x Foulmouth seems like a great strain for someone who has height restrictions and needs to keep em' short. We'll see how much stretch takes place soon.

Plus a peek at my tomatoes... first time growing them and it's a lot of fun. I'm using Mr. Canucks method outside in the garden and things are kicking ass. Can't wait for my first homegrown BLT... Minus the B. I'll leave bacon to the experts

Unruly I tell ya, straight up unruly. These shrubs needed another extensive defoliation and pruning. I was pretty aggressive this round... hoping I can start scrogging now that a couple grocery bags worth of leaves and growth tips have been hacked away.

I'm going to give them a week to recover before either flipping to flower, or doing another defoliation if required. Fingers crossed for flowers!

Made the flip to flower today. I have the branches growing in their appropriate squares, and added a second scrog net to help manage the stretch and widen the canopy. I have no suggested harvest time for this strain, will start checking the trichs as of week 7. It's on!

Day 2 of flower.

Things were getting too thick again, so another major defoliation was in order. I stripped a ton of fans, being careful to preserve the growth tips.

I've never had to defoliate as much as I have with this strain. Seems straight indica. It stayed short and wide all throughout veg. Hoping no further pruning is required.

1 week into flower and they may have stretched 3 inches. Haha. These girls are short and thick. The amount of foliage on them in relation to their size is unreal. I've literally stripped hundreds of leaves away, and a week later, it's like I haven't touched em.

I don't want to stress them by stripping more during flower, but I might pull the odd fan leaf that is blocking a bud site going forward. I'm really curious how these things are going to turn out. They'd be perfect for someone with height issues. They are 14 inches tall, and at this rate I don't see them finishing taller than 20 inches. I've never experienced anything like it.

The next clone grow is in the works... Blue dream and Skywalker OG. Thinking I'll do 2 of each next round

Day 11 and another major defoliation was needed. I'll have to be diligent to prevent mold come flowering. This strain is just ridiculously leafy. A couple of grocery bags worth of leaves later and it seems a little better. How late into flower do you guys defoliate? I don't want to stress them, but a solid mass of leaves just isn't feasible either.

Day 18 of flower and another major defoliation was needed. The leaves are relentless... but we will prevail! Starting to see a little bit of stretch now that budset has taken place. I'm really curious how these girls are going to turn out

I chopped down one of the 4 plants tonight. I noticed that there was more larf than I'm used to. The blueberry foulmouth cross was so dense that the colas completed shaded the bottom half of the plant. I then proceeded to harvest all of the top buds from the remaining 3 plants, and left the bottom half intact.

I'm trying out a staggered harvest for the first time to see if a week or two does anything for the buds that were shaded. We'll see how things turn out. I'll end up doing a bit of defoliating along the way to really open things up.

Here is the before and after, as well as the initial harvest
