Blueberry cross from Clones - CFL grow

This will be an abbreviated Grow Log as I was incredibly fortunate to have a friend who set me up with two of his clones. Day 1 here was Friday Jan 13th-good thing I don't believe in Friday the 13th as being unlucky as today I brought home to the grow box my two new plants. So my friend tells me he has two clones ready for me, I have been getting the box ready for a while, slowly checking things off my long list, so I picture two small newly rooted plants, but I do love the Blueberry Cross that he has. I go to pick them up and wtf, these are huge plants, almost two months old, maybe not huge but way beyond my expectations, both of them already showing their girl-ish intentions. So the girls are safely in the new grow box, to continue their journey to my pipe.

My box consists now of a 6 foot tall plastic outdoor "tool shed" the I got at HD, in an unused portion of my basement. A custom made 7 bulb CFL light fixture with a reflective hood made from a piece of stove pipe. I have been lurking on these boards for a while and now feel I need to share what I have learned and what lays ahead. I have 6500K bulbs for the veg ( I use 6@6500K and 1@2700K) and for Flowering I will use 6@2700K and 1@6500K. Growing in soil, yes using the dreaded MG Moisture Control Soil. Using Fox Farms Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom, CalMag and White Widow Mycorrhizal powder. City water, run through a Brita filter. Nothing real complicated. The plants had been FIMED, and some nice LST they are nice bushes at this point, 3 weeks later. I use pieces of plastic coats electric wire, shaped into long upside down "j"s to grab the stem, anchored into the soil.

18/6 on the lights now, going to clone them as soon as I get the new cloning box build and put together, hopefully the next few days, then to 12/12 for some flowering goodness. Comments, suggestions? As I said I have been lurking here for a LONG time, now finally time to get my hands dirty! What a great start!101_5386.jpg

Going to try and find time today to build the clone/veg box. Super Bowl Sunday seems like a good day to start off the next generation. This grow is stealth in a cool basement and temps hold perfect and steady now, not sure if that will continue as the weather warms through the spring, so need get growing time in while I can. Planning on taking 2 clones off of each plant, need two to root well and continue the strain. In the future plan on doing other strains, after I have a decent supply in my mason jars! Happy Growing!!

Right now that is what I have to work with, making sure everything works as planned before investing in additional strains, though that is definitely in the future plans. Hope to have some more pics today, the clone box is built, clones taken and hopefully rooting themselves as we speak.

Clone box finished, finally getting a chance to post, and three of the 4 looking good, been a week while three are droopy, but still have their color. Plants in main cab doing their stretch, can't wait to see them really start to bud. It will be two weeks @ 12/12 in two days. Loving this!!

If you have a chance you should take some pics of your other plants. The clones look good! Keep up the good work.
