Had another harvest yesterday, and it may me my best yet. I was able to be patient with this one and wait until it was 100% ready, and it looks to have rewarded me well. The plant really didn't look all that big compared to the last couple I've harvested, but it had so many branches and secondary colas that developed completely that it made up for it having smaller main cola. This was the first plant that I tied all the branches up on as soon as they started to sag, so it seem's reasonable to assume that tying them up so that the secondary branches get more light makes a big difference. I know thats one of those "well, duhhh" things for experienced growers, but until you experience it for yourself you just don't appreciate the difference.
Spider mites are still being a problem. I've looked into predator mites, but there isn't anywhere local I can get them and i really don't want to have to order them online. I talked to the folks down at Paulino gardens today about the lack of results from the Doctor Doom, and they say that I should be spraying it every 4 days instead of every 7 (like I have been) because it doesn't kill the eggs. I was planning on trying azamax, but I'm going to give the doctor doom another chance using their every 4 day schedule for 4-6 week. If it doesn't work then I guess I'll have no choice but to try predator mites, but I hate spending the money to buy bugs that are going to end up dying or moving as soon as they've finished off the mites.
Other then the mites the grow is going well, though my schedule has been totally screwed up. I've got 5 plants in my vegging area that are a lot taller then i wanted them to be when they flowered, and it's going to be at least another 4-5 days before I can move even one of them, let alone the rest. My blowfish passed the 2 ft mark yesterday, and since these are a sativa i absolutely have to get them moved soon or they are going to end up hitting my roof. I also need to get off my lazy butt and do a new set of clones this weekend, though I'm not quite sure how many I should take from each strain. Starting to wish I lived someplace out in the countryside where I could just put my small vegging plants in the backyard during the day and be done with worrying about having too many plants for my light to cover (I still only have the single 400w to veg with).
