Blumats. Who's using them?

Question guys
Do you use any products that keep the drip lines clean? Like dripclean or hyclean? Or use hygrozyme in the res?
Just get some PeK acid. It's the same thing as DripClean for a lot less. Phosphoric acid and potassium oxide in powder form and much more concentrated. I never had to use it. But now that I think about it I use phosphoric acid for pH down and maybe that kept everything clean. I also run clean nutrients. Nothing organic or sludgy.

I'm almost out of phosphoric acid so I'm going to use the PeKacid I have as pH down.

My plan is to just run my micro, grow, and bloom in the res and handwater in anything else once a week or whatever

What brand of nutrients are you using?

The PeKacid isn't meant as a nutrient additive but to keep the lines clean as the phosphoric acid in both PeKacid or Dripclean helps clean any deposits from the lines.

Ya I know it's not an additive I just meant I'll run my 3part in the res and add that as well then handwater the other stuff in once a week. I'm using emerald harvest because I have gallons of it for free. I've still got full lines of Green planet nutes and cyco I haven't even opened yet (all free) so I'm just trying to use it all up. If clogging is going to be an issue I'll switch over to my gh dry maxi line.
Now I don't know much about drip, I've ran diff powered setups before but just not drip more like flood and drain style.
As far as I know the hyclean has an enzyme that breaks down sludge? I may be wrong

I don't see anything wrong with the Emerald Harvest other than price. At least they list the ingredients on their website so kudos to them for that. Same thing with Green Planet. Some of the additives I would stay away from. Those that contain humates may clog the lines. I wouldn't use anything with any organic ingredient in it unless you're hand watering them in like you plan to do.

It's a good nute line (emerald harvest) but yes I agree the price is too high. I was lucky and got a bunch of full kits for free. Been trying to use it all up. I am running filters on the main 8mm line been experimenting with some motercycle fuel line filters with filter floss in them and some diff drip irrigation filters see what works.

I do have one more question.
So I'm running 12 pots in a 5x5. 3across 4 down
So I'm wondering what the best idea is for running the main line.
I want to run a 'closed loop' but with the way the pots go it seems to be a bit of a challenge
So I was thinking on running 3 main lines down into the main feed like this

ok so for people thinking about blumats, turns out there are different types.

The ones I got can’t be dialed in with a knob, it says the height of the reservoir controls how much is released.

they do seem to be working alright though a couple days in. At least well enough that I’ll feel ok leaving for a week.

You need trompf blumat, the other ones don't work well with cannabis as they feed thru the carrot itself and the height of your res determines how fast the water comes out

I did mainline around the perimeter then another mainline running thru center here's a shitty diagram

Star is where I put on/off valve for purging and also put 7 feet of 8mm line so I can water stuff if I have to, hell I can water all my solo cups that are in my little clone cabinet that's beside my tent with it it's so long.

Yes there are diff ones. I think the reg ones are ok for potted ornamentals but for accuracy I think the trop-f is a bit more advanced allowing you to run additional drippers off the main drip line etc

Do you find the middle gets less water?

So started setting it all up and realized im hella short on 8mm tube. Ordered some more yest from black swallow and it came today. Those guys and gals there are on point. Totally recommend them to anyone in Ontario especially. Anywho. After I smoke some hash and relax in my bath I'll get to setting up the rest! So far the auto with the blumat is doing great and I've seen the carrot working. No runaway. Took the advice of putting in a pond liner 20mm just in case.
