Blunts First Harvest! Lots o' Pics

So the time has come. Ill post up some pics of the plant before i cut it, when i pulled it, how i cut it after the pull, and the trimming pics. then i got pics of how i threw together my dry room real quick. lol. its ghetto but it should work. i just hope it gets cold in there. i just put that thermometer up there, and it still says 80, but its been outside all day. i got a fan under the hanging buds you can kinda see in the pic. what do you guys think?

Thanks for all your guys help. Couldnt have dont it with out RIU. Please comment and/or give some advice. Thanks.

&& I do realize i pulled this plant too early... There are people coming to my place to visit, such as grandparents. They shouldnt know about this so i cut it down early, please do not post comments such as "too early" and what not.. Thanks for everyones help.

yea i had alot of fun with this. it was my first grow but damn i learned alot from this site. i mean you kinda gotta sift through the bullshit but you get some good answers every now and then. i just made a thread asking how to make cannabutter off 5g of fan leaves, and 5g of resin clippings.

Oh and, btw, me and my girl are cigarette smokers. the plants are hung in my closet as you can tell, with a fan blowing under them. would it be ok to smoke cigarettes in our room without it harming the budds

cannabis has much more tar than cigs just fyi... now i know cigs are a lot more unhealthy but inhaling any kind of smoke is bad for you. just wondering (look at the last pic) if there will be harmfull smoke entering there, even though we are ~10ft away from the closet

Just wanted to comment on the temps..80 is not bad at all..

The plants i grew in soil grew the best between 80-85..

why u cop early are you daft?? if ur got granparents or who ever coming over why not just move the plants ur growing in soil so would have been easy to move its gonna smoke shit and taste like shit lol

Anyways, I'm not saying you should do this, but I grow in my closet, I have both my veg and flower room in there, and right by my desk I have my dry box, but I open my window and just put a fan blowing out the window and I smoke 3 cigs a day in there..... And have had absolutely zero problems. It's your choice, but if you have a fan sucking the smoke out there shouldn't be a problem. There isn't for me anyways.

um didnt i say i know i harvested early, and trust me, if there was anything i could have done i would. i feel like i dont have to explain to you why i had to cut them down, but if i got family members coming to check out the WHOLE FUCKING HOUSE i just bought, then where would i put them? hmmm yea i grew em in pots in my back yard, and its a small yard, so no where out there. no where in the house that they arent going to want to see. so yea. there was nothing i could do. its no biggy any fucking ways because i wanted them down any way.

advice for next grow: top/LST for more bud sites/larger yield. Im assuming you grew under CFLs, so with some low stress training (LST), you can tie down the main stem and have those lower buds grow straight up into the light, giving you an even canopy. this will allow you to maximize the CFL intensity on the plants (the light will only travel 4-5 inches to every bud site, rather than 3-4 inches for the main bud, and then 12-14 inches for lower buds.

nice pics though! I dont think you harvested too early. all the white hairs are starting to turn red and recede back into the bud

howdy, these were outdoor grown- and i have already gotten a couple plants topped to experiment with that now. one fell over throughout the day and i found it the next morning, and now all the branches and all curving, its strange.

thanks for all the great comments- i cant wait till their dry. Can i make cannabutter while the leaves/clippings are still fresh?

Idk if you have any, but Iʻd consider you putting some trees and shrubs in your backyard. I prefer ones with benefits such as peach trees, apple trees, lemons, etc.. And for the shrubs gardenias are good, anything that smells good or looks good. (We all like nice smelling flowers riiiight???) If you can grow weed you can grow anything and vice versa. But these additions to your landscape will act as a small diversion to distract your "visitors" eyes if you catch my drift. Put enough plants in your backyard and you could just hide your plants somewhere in the middle of it.

Has anyone here experimented with curing your buds with orange peels in the air tight jar? ive done some lookin and read to get a cheese cloth ball full of sliced orange peels, but not to let it touch the bud in the jar. curing your buds with orange peels sounds like it could be a great idea, for some added flavoring. me and a buddy bought a sack of some mids one time, got another sanwich bag full of orange peels, and let the bags sit together in a plastic sealed bowl, and it really wasnt too bad.. bud im thinking it would be muuuch better to do it while curing in the mason jars. let me know if yall have done it, and your results. i may get 2 jars, one with peels, one without.

Orange peels will make your buds UBER wet again! That is used for if you accidentally dry your buds out TO much, tossing some orange peels into the masin jar will moisten them back up quite nicely and QUICK!

I wouldn't recomend putting orange peels in with wet nugs your curing. AFTER they've been dried and cured go for it, just be careful that all that moisture doesn't cause mold or something shitty like that. That's what would worry me.
