....snip.....
Curious2garden had the same overflow thing happen in her basement lol, I won't miss that.

I wish I had a basement. It happened on the second floor where my grow is and I still have a bit of sag left in my kitchen ceiling's drywall because of that. It's only visible if you know what you're looking for

I wouldn't bother with mothers I'd just take sequential clones. It saves some space. Also make sure you clone every one when you switch to flower in case you run across a jackpot pheno and as usual GREAT looking grow :hug:

Next step is an F2 table ;) j/s :eyesmoke:

Gorgeous! You're gonna laugh but less than a month ago I didn't even know @BobBitchen was a breeder. I spend too much time in T&T socializing and not enough time in the grow forums.

I forgot, you told me about the no basement thing in California.

Hypothetically let's say I'm going to grow 24 plants in one gallon pots. How do I get to that first step (24 clones) without a mother? I'd prefer to go without a I'm just not sure how to get there.

I think I'm gonna need a bigger house for an F2 table

I still haven't replaced the wood threshold that got all warped. the concrete floor mocks me every time I go into the den.

It depends on if you are taking them all from one plant. If you are doing that you veg it a bit longer. You can also take 4 clones off that plant, put them in flower and take 24 cuttings. If you are SOG you can toss them in as soon as they are happy in their pint pots because they are already mature. I take them from all over the plant. I'll strip a plant to a sad looking little thing at the start of flower and by the time she's finished she's fat and happy.

I should probably get the first batch from the same plant I'm assuming if I want them to be the same, then clone from each after that. I like that idea better. Keeping a mom just seems like a pain in the ass and another thing to look after.

No I do living soil min pot size is 7g. I just keep em in 2s till they show sex.
Do you do a really long veg time? I'd like to get to the point that I'm doing two weeks at most.

No I usually do 2-3 weeks veg with clones. 9 x 7 gallon pots for 5x5. Works pretty good for me. I like to keep plants under 3 foot if possible. I know 7s might be overkill but it gives me tons of wiggle room on available nutrients. So first run with a new soil I toodress one time per flower. After harvest dump and mix and can replant into used soil the same day.

Also I will mention I’m pretty impressed on how simulat the 4 plants I have are at about 4 weeks since germ. All four seedlings are identical. This is always a good sign to me! I’ll get some Picts soon!

You probably don't have to water as often with that much soil either.

I was noticing the same thing. Very similar structure. I do have one that is very indica dominant, leaves are a bit fatter than the other two. I've had some really wild variations with feminized seeds.

You would think so but I still water every day. I go for consistency rather than a swing in moisture levels.

That's a nice looking set up you got.
How are you liking the blumats compared to dwc?
I started using blumats last year after over a decade of tedious hand watering:wall:. I'm definitely enjoying not being tethered to a watering can.
You got anything to catch a runaway? I didn't see anything in your pic. I just bought a pond liner from home depot for piece of mind.
Good luck with the grow:weed:

Thanks! The difference is night and day, I wouldn't consider going back to DWC again. Just too much labour. I haven't go around to doing it yet, but I plan on lining the floor and six inches up the walls with flex seal. Right now they have big saucers under the plants.

Watching them is like asmr... drip drip drip.

A week later and things have really taken off. I topped last weekend which gave me six tops. I topped again on Sunday so I should end up with a total of twelve tops per plant. I also pinched off all nodes beneath where I topped so everything is being focused on the new tops. I'm seeing alternating nodes on the new tops so it's mature enough to flower. I think I'll give it one more week before I flip.

Another week done.

I flipped over to flower last night. Two of the plants were 12" and one was 8" lol. The stubby plant has the same number of nodes, but they're so tight, like a couple mm between each one. It's also very dark green compared to the other two. It's not showing signs of nitrogen toxicity so I'm just going to assume it's a weird plant.

Over the weekend I built a new cabinet to help speed things up. I'm planning on using the top 3 feet for clones and seedlings and the lower 4 feed for vegging. I'd like to get to the point that I'm doing as little vegging as possible in my main room.

Very nice setup! Clean , tight and organized.
Thought I’d throw out my meltdowns for comparison. The dang led kept them short short. One pheno seems to have more space inside but wow what a bush! Perfect for short vegging.
