I finally got around to taking some clones from the POG/PU plants, later than I'd like, but all good.
So the MP/SSDDs are purpling up, which I'm excited for. It's been a long time since I grew anything purple. The POG/PU are showing a tinge as well, but you really can't see it in the photos.

Here are the MP/SSDDs:

I'll trade you a biker sunshine clone for a mendo sunshine clone. biker sunshine is the shit. I bet mendo sunshine is gonna be fire too.

So, my SSDD/MPs are 43 days into flowering. I had one huge plant (thought it was male), and one really small one. The huge one is big and round and really looking nice. The small one is a runt and isn't stacking correctly. The buds are small and kind of strange looking at this point. Could be just because it was a runt, so I am still keeping her clones. In fact the runt clones rooted really nicely and the larger plant's clones were not as easy.

Anyway, here is the big girl:

And here is he petite girl:

So, these may not even go until the weekend. They really look ready right now.
Big one:

Runt:

I am certainly going to run this again, I'm just not sure if I should invest any space/time to the runt.

Here is the POG/PU:

These are a few weeks behind the MP/SSDDs. This one is huge, with a really thick stalk and very bush-like. I think it was getting too much nutes, so I scaled the system back a bit. It's the one drawback to using RDWC for several varieties- it's hard to dial it in for everyone :)

I’m growing five of Bodhi’s Mendo Purps/SSDD right now (along with four of his Big Sur Nigerian x NL2), four weeks into flower, and I totally agree with you, they look like they’re gonna finish really quickly. Last week, I thought they looked like they’d probably be a 60-63 day finisher, but I was in there watering last night and was like,”Gawddamn.... These plants look like they might be ready in eight weeks...” But that’s just the Mendo Purps/SSDD’s. The Nigerian/NL2’s look like they’re gonna take twelve weeks or so.

Anyway, nice grow! Only one of mine is exhibiting any kind of purple right now. Yours look good. That runt might be a little, uh, runty, but you gotta love how it looks! Real purty...

I pulled the MP/SSDD girls out of the flowering RDWC system. They are now in their own bucket for a few days of flushing (Yea, sometimes I do it, sometimes I don't. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I wanted to really see the potential of the testers.) Anyway, I brought them outside for a cold photo shoot in natural light (my photos suck and are done on an iPhone, btw). Here they are:

I'm pretty happy with how these look so far. I will give them until the weekend and then chop, dry, cure.

First of all, can anybody tell me how I can “like” posts on this website?

Second of all, man @Tstat your testers look waaaaaayyyyy different than mine. Very interesting. Yours are much more leafy, whereas mine are a shit-ton of bud with very little leaf. Which I’m excited about. Less trimming for me! Haha!

Thirdly, are you sure your plants are close to finishing? I know absolutely nothing about hydro growing (I’m full-on organic soil with very little inputs), but in that first picture in your most recent post, I see a nug down in the middle of your plant that’s just nothing but white pistils. I’m just asking for curiosity’s sake and wondering how you do things. Your plants look fucking amazing, way more frost on the fan leaves than mine have, but yeah, just wondering....

Also gotta say that this cross by Bodhi does seem to be an extremely fast finisher. I dunno if that’s what the SSDD male brings to this cross or what, but every day I check on my plants, I knock a day off of my projected finishing time haha....

I chopped four of my Mendo Daydreams at 48 days and the fifth one on day 50 (and I probably should’ve let it go another week) and I will say that yields-wise, this cross sucks. Definitely not impressed. I use one pint mason jars and ordinarily fill a minimum of four jars per plant. I only filled one friggin’ jar each with two of my plants and a jar-and-a-half with the other two this run. The one I chopped on day 50 filled two jars, which is still just not even close to being acceptable.

Having said that, it’s some gawddamn TASTY weed. I’m still trying to put my finger on the exact flavors, but it’s kind of a soft purple, maybe floral and lavender, typical “purple weed” kind of flavor on the inhale, with massive sugary-sweet flavors on the exhale. It’s unfortunate that the yields suck so bad. I would never run this plant again, but I am looking forward to emptying out the jars that I filled haha. Really delicious weed.
