bottom leaves turning yellow/dying

Hey guys, i'm growing 6 big bud seedlings. They are a few weeks old, grown in potting mix with slow release fertiliser pellets. they are indoors under 2 80w grow fluros. the temp is about 26C and the humidity is at around 50%. I water them every 2 days (when the top inch or so has dried out) with plain tap water. They were going fine until the last few days when the first two round leaves and the first set of single blade leaves started turning yellow and going crispy. I thought that this was to be expected but now the first set of tri-bladed leaves appear to be exhibiting the same problem. As this is my first grow, i'm not sure how many sets of leaves normally do this or if it is something else i'm doing wrong?

Feed them some veg nutes.

agrees looks like its time to start feedin them high n

I have been told that the plant sacrifices old leaves and uses them for nutrient when there is not enough nutrients in the soil. They should recover quite fast, but damaged leaves may fall off and die. Do not nutrient burn them either!

Did you also try resting the water for a bit or just pour them over??
Its better to water another day late...they can survive droughts but not floods...just my 2c

Time to transplant as well. they are pretty big for party cups...

looks like that soil has run its course. time for a big bed of rich soil

thank you all very much for the advice. I've transplanted them from the "party cups" to a flood and drain table (with some baby okra) and i'm feeding them a light veg hydro solution at 600 ppm for 15 minutes three times a day (every 6 hours during the 18 hour light cycle) also, they're now under a 250 watt metal halide...they should be fine yeah?

what is the okra is for?? kind of makes it hard to tell what the real plants are using when you have slimy vegetables growing in with them jk....i think they should be doing better now for sure the replant will help alot they def needed some nitrogen but i dont do hydro or soiless so not sure if thats strong enough or not

Haha, the okra are in there just until i get my window sill/legitimate hydro system up and running, then they're out to fend for themselves under natural sunlight (poor bastards!)...i would, however, greatly appreciate some comment on ppm ratio and feeding schedule...

The plants look great,the bottom leaves turning are nothing to worrie about.There the first to come and the bottom leaves are the first to go.i always take them off any how when time to flower.you should be looking at the good things about these plants nice coulour,tight internodes.Has long has you can continue the plants growing in the same structure has they are now should produce a great yeild.......................................................tyke......................................................
