I can't use it for shit whn held against a growing plant. Your best bet is to take some scissors, snip a little leaf or bit of bud off and put it flat on a esk on some white paper, then you have all the stability you need. Trying to focus on some trichomes while holding the thing against a swaying moving plant is a motherfucker 
When i first got mine (same as yours just branded a 420 scope) i thought it was useless as well until i was advised ottherwise by a forum member.

yes it is quite hard to keep the plant still, lol but i try and cup the bud hold my breath and stand on one foot singing the sun will come out tomorrow! seems to work perfect lol give it a try next time.
