BOVEDA PACKS

58s for me too. I'll use 62 if it's winter because my air is like 20%. Anyone try storing in the fridge with one? Gets so hot here and been seeing more fridge teks pop up

For sure, I just got the cool grovebags that supposedly do everything a boveda does snd more. Kinda curious about all this new stuff. A new way to charge 10$ for a small piece of plastic
Boveda sent me the Boveda Challenge Kit. But I haven't tried it yet. I've done jars with Boveda's and without and that's about the same thing. It's a cool ass kit though.

We use them in our cure room. Even tho the room is 65 degrees, dark, and 61% rh, we still throw a few in the CureTubes. They don't get hard or anything, and we've used some for 2 years because they don't either absorb, or disperse moisture because the environment is already locked in. But!.. its just a back up in case I forget to dump the dehumidifiers or something. Never noticed it taking away from the aroma of the weed. We have some lbs that have been curing for 6-7 months. Still squishy and pungent. I really think it gets better over time.

I didn't notice them robbing smell until they were in there for a long time. I have some weed that's almost 3 years old. I had packs in there, but took them out awhile ago.

I use to reuse them, but they can absorb some of the smell of some strains and they're cheap enough to buy new ones if I want to use them.

I'm still experimenting so I don't have a final decision yet on Boveda's.

Tried an evaporative cooler? Hessaire?
No, never tried one . Are they any good?
If you are in dry climate I would 100% start using them. They do work as advertised and having a jar opened up after a month or two with a bovida is refreshing.

even better is heat canning to make apressure seal for term storage with a b62
What’s heat canning with a b62?

They work well for adding humidity and a bit of cooling, use an inkbird to control humidity. It will raise humidity significantly. It's evaporation so it can be cleaner than a fogger, it will get dirty eventually though. Bit costly but not terrible.

I don’t have a problem with humidity , it’s the heat . I have grown and dried weed in many diverse environments in the USA and they all pose interesting challenges . It’s wierd because I have so much control over the grow environment in a tent but once it is chopped , the game change becomes the outdoor environment and controlling that for
Me has been challenging since I live in such extreme weather places like the desert
And rainforest . And it’s all about timing what happens when a monsoon season hits when you harvest ? How do you deal with that. It’s tricky .
