650R. In sixth gear I was unstoppable. I maxed it out at about 160 or 170. That's about as fast as it'll go. It was something I looked forward to every day. Getting off from work. Getting on the highway and opening it up. But I didnt want to end up a statistic. It's amazing what you see when you ride because you're forced to pay attention. There are entirely too many people who are distracted when driving. It's epidemic. Worse than drinking and driving.
Amen bro, been a daily rider in Florida myself for 10 years + , the old people, and the vacationers if not an epidemic in themselves, added to texting teens, and adults, it's to my own amazement i have not been killed yet. fucking people need to pay attention.

yamaha ttr 125 (learn to wheelie on)
yamaha yzf600r
honda 954
gsxr 1000
dr 650 enduro (current ride)

planning on getting another liter bike, and a harley sportster or something when funds make themselves available (if i don't spend all my shit on grow room shit like i have recently lol)

Some stuff I use to do.

Built this as a stand for my flexcut tools..

now they sit in a box out in the garage collecting dust awaiting my 12 year old to want to use them some day..

all above were hand carved no power tools for me...

How cool was that??? Damn looks like he had a few in the garage too?
I dont think I would ever drive anywhere again with access to one of these...
We had a guy here locally who (was not in his right mind set to start with) end up crashing his in a field nearby after hitting a powerline

Shared hanger at an airfield mate, some cool bits in there tho, 3/4scale P51 Mustang, Ultralight Fokker EindekkerE111 (under 450Kg MAUW), Boeing Stearman, 2seat Gyrocopter, few more ultralights like my dads, Rans RV8 etc

But yeah they are goddamn fun, with me dads one if ya run it up against the brakes then go for it you can get off the ground in less than 90ft lol

I use to spend hours at the tracks taking pics.. those days ended when I almost got hit by one.. scary ass shit to be in the midst of these guys.. love the crashes at 24 sec till about 31 secs 2 different classes ran this day (sorry about the music it was a demo we used for selling prints)

(funny story on how we got access to do these races.. we just called and asked.. and they were stoked that we offered to do it)

Bought it off ebay for cheap, got it running then found out the frame was bent and sold it lol. I had fun working on it except taking the air cleaner off and on :cuss:I bought some K&N's just so I wouldn't have to deal with it.

I found an Indian head nickle in the fairing.
That was my first bike!! '82 "Midnight Maxim". I miss it, and I still have a soft spot for black chrome. But GAWD the brakes sucked. cn

I didn't know we were talking about "past tense" toys.
Two of my favorites:

My 73 Z-1 was running an MTC engineering top end 1312 cc with a welded crank, Keihin smoothbore carbs & Yoshomura header (4 into 1).

The H-2 was stock except for the Bassani pipes and all the freakin pistons I had to keep putting into it.

Edit: These pics are internet "grabs" - don't have any pics of my bikes handy.

Open wheel clay sprints are awesome, I used to race a super modified...til' the weekend mechanic crew quit.

I had a bad habit of rolling, every new driver does when learning on non-pavement cuz' you always run up other guy's front tires.

Do we have any boaters present?. Here is my retirement toy, which will be built to spec and include a wind generator and dinghy so I don't have to pay docking fees.

Speed boat I use to have when I lived closer to water. Older 15' Bayliner Cobra with a 75hp outboard, I could skip across the water pretty quick with it.
