Brainstorm & NL #5 x Haze Grow!

if these need 11 weeks of flowering (not from 12/12, but from about 7/19, when they showed signs of sex), then I would have to wait until the first week in October to harvest. what do you think?:bigjoint:

nice work dude! my friend just got back from amsterdam with nl5 haze and jack herer seeds! im soo excited! how does the nl5haze smell like?? compared to the brainstorm

The results of the brainstorm was definately no comparison to the nl5xhaze. Kind of disappointing. I don't have a scale, sorry. I got a small mason jar full, so that will last me awhile, hopefully until I harvest the nl5xhaze plants. The Brainstorm buds were fluffy and small, but it has a nice cerebral type high as opposed to couch lock, which I like. Smell is getting better as it cures, at first like hay. The nl5 x haze is starting to have a nice smell, no need for any odor control lately though, thankfully. I'm going to keep growing them until October, if necessary.

Anyway, thanks for checking in.

Any feedback from anyone else would be appreciated, don't want to screw these babies up. bongsmilie

well, you asked for it, so here we go. I really need some feedback here. is this almost ready to cut down? They are a little crispy, but I guess thats normal and with the previous heat issues, they are doing okay. thickening up, they're gonna be GRRRRREEEAAT! CANT WAIT!:bigjoint:

Looking good, Wannabee. If it were me, I would wait another week, then flush for a week, or two if you can hold out. It's really all in personal preference. Sounds like your brainstorm may not have fully matured, but I don't know how many weeks you chopped at.

Your nl5xhaze is really going to fatten up these last few weeks. Well worth the wait for more bud.

Isn't it funny how we can wait (at least fairly, lol) patiently during veg, but once we're in flower, it's not so easy! Eleven days since my plants started flowering, and the clock is ticking sooo slowly now....

I think you're right davey, I chopped the brainstorm too soon maybe. what an ignorant thing to do. Oh well, chalk it up to experience. I'm not doing that with the nl5xhaze, they are really getting big. They are getting heavy too and falling down. I'll definitely keep them going for another week or so. I'll update soon to show the progress.

you're right kat, it is hard to wait, especially if you don't have anything else to smoke lol... its much better to have patience, I'm learning... thanks.

They neglected to tell you once you switch to 12/12, time goes backwards 2 seconds for every 1 second forward, didn't they?

I think they are getting close, but I'm not cutting them until I'm sure. :weed:

I'm trying to wait until they are ready. I haven't done the best with the heat and inexperience. I'm getting real anxious to cut though:fire:.

I'll be good and wait. I flooded them out yesterday, and had to mop the grow tent today.

My next grow is going to be FABULOUS. I've learned so much.

Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.:leaf:

well, here is a couple of pics of the drying apparatus I built plus some pics of the nl#5xhaze plants I took today. I checked the trichs and they're getting cloudy, so it shouldn't be much longer now...:bigjoint:

Nice! Are you going to trim the leaves off the one's you all ready have hanging?

oh, those are just the little buds from the bottom of plant, just thought I'd start pruning. i guess i should trim the leaves off, according to the post on harvesting, i'll have to do that later.

oh, and here's another update. started the harvest, i'm doing it gradually. I still have a lot more to cut, i'll let them grow awhile longer, not enough amber yet.

I think its gonna be a good one.:eyesmoke:

Very nice Wannabee. Good way to harvest.

i noticed today, the buds shrunk a lot since cutting them yesterday. i trimmed the leaves off, there were'nt too many. Kind of interesting that the runt was the quickest to ripen.

i'll take some photos over the weekend. the rest of the plants are leaning more now, may have to do some tying up soon.

:peace:
