Nice list man.. wish I had the space to do some breeding.. must be loads of fun.
Props poly that is a great list!!

thanks guys! it is lots of fun, but a hell of a work load and a lot of remembering whats what. really doing it small scale working thru my seeds and making selections as i go i need some more space real bad, but with the three areas to grow in right now(plus one small area for males) its going on alright. the problem is they grow faster than i can finish flowering its getting to the point i have to be really choosey. then on top of all that im trying to fill up my "stock" of the basic crosses, while at the same time make new ones. i would like to do one strain grows and pollinate each one but thats not possible at the moment... i need more space lol. i was just looking at all my big ass 10gal pots about 20 min ago thinking, mow much in composted soil is this gonna cost me to fill up.. hehehe...

Yeah that's alot to fill. How big is your male area? Cuz I got a box I built a a while back when I first started growing its 2x2x4 I mite use that for males. I'm looking to get a 2x4x4 tent off a friend for veg and put a t5 in it

Yeah I'd love to keep a journal about all the different.. it killed me to pull out my 2 males that I just had..

also didn't like forcing them into flower so early.. oh well..

someday soon hopefully I'll have the space to have some fun like you're having...

my male area is a 18gal tote on its side(short side, it about a 2x1x2) interior covered with foil(i should have used plastic and glue...lazy haaha) with a hole drilled in top a socket adapter x2 tees and x4 23w cfl. i can flower about 5-6 males at a time. a small PC fan blows into to tote to create positive pressure and the exhaust is x2 holes covered with tyvek.

so far ive flowered quite a few males this way right next to both my flowering tents with out any issues of cross pollination surprisingly. the air flow inside tote is incredibly gentle and the fan only exchange the upper air, i also (when they are in full flower) add an airstone and water to raise the humidity this also helps keep the pollen from escaping.

Time to grow in bubble-ponics. That's what your girls have been in since popping, and likely to remain there through harvest, just so I can see how well they will do under all WW leds

I already know hydro grows a great plant uner leds, but I was using a ufo 90+ some screw bulb leds

I just got back from buying a bigger 20g tote ($10). Will be ordering a 79 L/min air pump from cheaphydroponics. It has 8 controllable outlets. Massive air bubbles + oxystones) is the magic to grow healthy plants in hydro

is it bad to fuck with the light cycle for the last 3 days before the pods open? cuz i've just been cutting the tops that are about to blow open and set it under a light out in the open. it gets accidental light exposure for the three days. then i just shake the top inside of a solo cup. i did that before and am doing it right now to one dude.

no once a male starts to flower it wont stop. they dont require a photoperiod beyond the point of initial flowering. that why keeping them in veg is a bitch you must cut a clone as soon as you know it males. i cut my clones before sex to be able to preserve them. and sometimes its strain dependent its impossible to keep a male in veg.

my current favorite method for collecting pollen is to cut the sacks off a day before i know they are gonna bust and put them in a a jar with a paper towel over the top, this way most of the balls bust in the jar(if you put unopened pollen sacs in the jar allow them a few days and they will open naturally and still be very viable) where the air is very still. i just keep collecting them as they grow till im satisfied.:)

okay cool. i figured the lazy man approach was safe. i check em like twice a day for signs of getting ready to pop. i DON'T want that shiiiiit in my closet...

so.. that cross i made. all 7 beans are growing, smelling and looking like the father. nothing like the mother as a child. tis what i wanted :)

usually crosses tend to be closer to the pollen giving strain unfortunately. selecting males takes time i usualy breed the first as a test, but i will go through several before deciding on a specific one to use for breeding.

the new lighting setup removed the x2 400w and replaced with 6bulb t5 (324w, aquasun(UVL),florasun(zoomed),5400k(aka pro-veg argo),10000k(aka finisher agroson) florasun, aquasun) and 270w HPS ( 400w slyvania bulb i use for when i dim my digital ballast)

the baby have grown up and are done vegging, got them on 12/12 now, some are starting to show sex, looks like exactly half are going to be males. germing more in preparation hopefully i will condense to one side rais another batch and condense after sexing those to the other side. thats wishful thinking lol.
