Breaking your plant, for yield?

Ok so a few nights ago I had an inspection and had to move my plants. Unfortunately I snapped my biggest plants main cola and other branches almost off. I tried to prop them up but they just are not having it. Today I noticed all the buds are facing upwards to the light and doing healthy and now growing horizontal instead of vertical. Could this be an alternative to topping? I know its plant abuse but its working for me and thoughts?

Being my first grow I had done the same thing but my fan fell on it. I couldn't get tape around. I was pissed I thought I killed my plant. Now a couple weeks later, this plant is doing almost as good as my best whole plant, plus it's basically now 4 stalks instead of 1.

U can splint it with a stick of sum sort and some tape or if u run an air pump u can cut a inch length and split it upward and wrap it around it. I do both

Yep, it's called super cropping. However, you are better served using this technique during vegetative growth. Also, it's better to not "snap" the colas. Rather you want to gently pinch them by grabbing the cola stem and rolling it between your thumb and finger. Squeeze just hard enough to break up the insides of the stem. do this up and down the cola stem. It will then take a few days to recuperate, but the stem will become noticeably thicker as the plant heals itself This is supposed to transfer in to more bud mass. I don't know if it does or not. I'm running an experiment on it right now. I have a super cropped plant in my flower room. The colas are super thick, so we'll see how the buds turn out.

Good luck to you.

OOOOOOh Snap! That happend to me a couple nights back. Monster snapped in half. I had to pick up my fan from the middle of the grow room(in the plants). I was pissed. I didnt have to cast it in any way.

I SERIOUSLY doubt it. And I also have to call BS on the not knowing if they're dying or not. They are NOT going to die by using the technique I described. Marijuana is a VERY hardy plant. It actually takes quite a bit of effort to kill a plant. Just like the person above, I too have snapped branches. A quick splint and a few days later and it was off and growing again.

My first grow ever my plants turned completely yellow due to NO nitrogen what so ever (I didn't know what I was doing). They stayed that way for almost a full month (until I figured out the problem), and probably didn't grow more than 1 inch in height. Once I started adding nutes correctly, they bounced right back and ended up yielding killer weed, and lots of it...

There's no issue with super cropping, if done correctly.
