Breeding Project (Crystal Limit)

*A few yrs ago I bought some Crystal Limit from KC Brains. Got 3 different phenos out of it.

1) Indi leaning with tight nugs with a strong oldskool cheese smell and mix of cheeze n skunk taste. Was also the most potent.

2) Sat leaning with large foxtail nugs but the density and potency wasn't there. Almost no smell with a slight skunky taste.

3) Sat leaning with large foxtail nugs with better density than (2) and with bright pink hairs and super fruity like (Fruit loops) (Close-up pic in Album)

*Lost the originals but managed to get some beans off a few branches I dusted from the varies males. Each branch got a dusting of each male.

Currently have 2 females and 2 males to play with. Gonna try to find (1) and cross it with (3). Plan is to get the pink hairs with more density. This is just a project as i'm a noob to breeding and have been researching for awhile on the topic. Any and all knowledge on tips n tricks would be very helpful :)

Have a couple pix of my 4x4 tent with 3 - t5's for veg. Will be picking up a cooltube n 6in exhaust fan in the near future for gro-out (600 Digi waiting to light up once again :)
Males will b in separate boxes and bonsai'd with branches taken for pollen as needed.

More t5's will be added once I get the 2x4 veg tent. Thanks for stopp'n in :) Peace!!

Current test patch of the 2 Crystal Limit phenos clippings for quality n yield, ODG style!! Forgot some vital info. These clippings were put in the ground with only blood n bone meal and some domolite to sweeten it up. No other ferts were used. Planted approx third week of July. Purpose is to get the high and low possiblitles and to learn where the changes (if needed) are most dire. Plus in the harsher enviro I will find out if they herm or not. Thanks for stopp'n by, Peace!!

Also got the 600 Digi dusted off and now just waiting for the fan n filter :)

whoa! somebody's gonna have a lot of somethin'! not a fan of blood meal at all myself. it gave some plants i tried it on a hideous iron taste. i'd only use it as a repellant outdoors. plants grow fine without it usually.

if you bred all 3 of your phenos, then you'll have some nice variety to pick and choose from. with that many freakin' plants, unless they're clones, you should be able to find a couple great mothers and get something precisely what you want.

I used blood meal because it was left-overs from a box of blood n bone from last season. I didn't notice the iron taste you talk of, but have heard others also mention it. It may look like a lot but they are all small, around 8 - 12 inches. Hopefully one of them is (Pheno 1). I know that the pink pheno isn't in these cuts because none are showing but have a few more beans to pop. Hopefully she is in there :)

Thanks for stopp'n by HG. Peace!!

i'm a supertaster, so a lot of things others can't even taste stand out like sore thumbs to me. i remember hating beef in the mid 80s because all of a sudden it started tasting like iron before i found out about cows being fed scraps of cows. no one else in my family seemed to notice it. then again, they're like 75% of the bland foods loving world

you are what you eat. you can tell if you're a supertaster or not by whether or not you like spicy foods. if you don't you have fewer tastebuds, if you do, you have more. you'd think it'd be the exact opposite.

Hmm, I love spicy food!!! Admittingly sometimes I use the hotsauce to mask the flavour of something I don't like lol.

Out of the last batch of beans 4 made it. Beans are 3 yrs old and out of 8, 6 popped. 2 didn't make it because their taproot was curled around on itself for some reason and just never grew. Just put the last 5 beans in to soak for 24-48 hrs. Will post some pics of the little ones in a few days. :)

haven't we all? that's where texas chilli actually came from... they'd spice it up to mask the flavor of beef gone bad. if you like hot sauce, then i'm guessing you like hot wings, and if you do and want the BEST wings, don't fry 'em, grill 'em! mmmmmmmmmm sooooooooooooo much better!

i wanted to turn ORIGINAL kali mist into an orange curry with cali-o and maybe a lemon curry too with malawi and burmese. can't do it now though as it's polluted with fruit. fruit curry just isn't the same.

it's amazing how some people freak out over spaghetti sauce just because there's some oregano and basil in it. i don't consider anything truly hot and spicy until it makes you sweat. jalapenos are too hot for my tastes though. that's when all you can taste is heat. i made the mistake of trying to cool off with some 1970s era pepsi (when it was still tangy and not corn syrup dishwater) when my mother dared me to eat a piece and that only made it worse. if you ever eat something too hot, dairy will fix that.

if you think jalapenos or even scotch bonnet & habeneros are hot, don't ever try a ghost pepper!

CL1-A and B
IMG_1458.jpg

CL1-A (taller showing a lil more sat dom)
IMG_1460.jpgIMG_1462.jpg

CL1-B (tighter internodes)
IMG_1459.jpgIMG_1461.jpg

They are both very similar. Odd that CL1-A stretched more but has more indi style leafs and CL1-B is the opposite with long slendy sat leaves n minimal stretch.

Weather was nice, so figured a trek was in order :) I found what I was looking for!!!!

PINK HAIRS!!!!

IMG_1473.jpg

Plot Shot n nice crystal production :)

IMG_1463.jpgIMG_1466.jpgIMG_1464.jpg

They are not going to get very big as no veg or bloom (time-release) or amendments were added. As I stated this is a test to see what traits (I am looking for) will be priority for the outdoor environment. Next season the soil will be amended. I'm super happy to find the pink hairs tho. Indoor bean production will be under-way very soon. Pollen from the males will be stored to also be used on the lil ones once they have been sexed and all traits are documented. Thx for stopping by n Be Safe. Peace!!

Nice work Man! How many watts are inside?Give some advice about KC strain?
Thank u :) Right now I have 4 - T5's for veg. My 600 digi will be running shortly. Hmm, advice... Well I will say overall this strain is more stable than any other breeders i've played with. Now that being said, I did find one pheno started throwing out nanners late in flower. I culled that pheno as i'm not looking for any hermism at all. Stress training such as extreme hot/cold temps, over feeding and excessive watering, complete drought. So far the 2 other phenos seem to be holding out and not throwing out any nanners. Next phase will be working on potency/yield. Just popped the last of my beans and will add more intel once I know. Work in progress!!

This strain smells very fruity with skunky undertones. Has a strong oldschool cheese/skunk flavor. Nice mixed high but have noticed heavy munchies click in after excessive use. Overall I really enjoy the overall effects of this strain. :) Peace!!

My Crystal Limit only 6 outta 10 popped. Could have been old beans or the enviro was to cold. Can be the culprit with low amount of beans popping n all being male. Hope you have/had better luck next time :)

I agree!! Prolly part reason why the last time I grew them (Profile Pic) they got ripped. Not sure if someone seen them or my bro ripped them. But they are very much electric :) This time around that will not be happening. Hope to have some locked down for next season!! Have a small indo before then tho :) Peace n thx for subbin my thread!!

Far out... If I knew that the Crystal Limit could come out with some pink hairs like that I would have bought a packet or two... Maybe next year...
