Brewing Alcohol at Home

Does anyone do this besides me? I'm just curious because it's one of my favorite hobbies and I love enjoying my products. It's like getting high off your own grown bud, being drunk of alcohol you made is always better than what you buy.

Peace, love, :leaf:

I assume your talking about liquors and not beer or wine. I've wanted to make my own whiskey for a while now but feel out of my comfort zone after reading about poss side effects when dealing with methanol. I know how much I liked burning my homegrown and I can only imagine how satisfying it is to catch a buzz on your own booze. I 'm sure I would be a lush if I began making my own booze too, right now I'm just a drunk ass. Any way I'd Like to hear more about your experiences/ practices and recipes too, post em up.

I brew wine a lot and once the wine is a finished product half the time I concenatrate the alchohol to make it stronger. Upwards of 30 to 35% alcohol. The wine is around 11% normally brewed and I do it a gallon at a time. I have a tek to make tequila but I have to get agave.

If I do post a tek, it will be tomorrow and in the HS forum. I'm too tired and lazy to do it tonight.

ive done wine and beer, and ive helped make 80 proof. currently going to do an english brown ale.

also ive come across a bunch of apple and peach trees so im contemplating the best way to do it next fall....im thinking i will make a solar dehydrator and not only will it be great for drying herbs but drying bunch of fruit....then like wine im thinkin just a big bin full of almost totally dry fruit all mashed up ...maybe get a refractometer....i dont want to add sugar

I once made wine in my closet. The setup consisted of a 2 litre bottle, yeast, sugar, water, juice crystals, and a balloon. Good shit
