British politics are sure different than US. Imagine if Trump or Hillary could be outflanked at the last minute like Boris Johnson was. Not knowing the people very well, it's easy to draw the wrong conclusion. After watching Bush lead by ideology instead of smarts, I prefer pragmatic leadership over faith-based.
Gove sounds like the very type of ideologue that will lead Britain through Brexit regardless the cost to the country, the currency or to the people. Just like Bush did with neoconservative ideology. Any British posters want to let us know what they think?

Tory leadership: Gove 'standing out of conviction not ambition'
Michael Gove has said his bid to become Tory leader and PM is driven by "conviction" about what is right for the UK, not personal ambition.
The justice secretary said that when he concluded Boris Johnson was not the "right person", his "heart told him" that he should put himself forward.
He vowed to cut immigration by blocking EU free movement and spend an extra £100m a week on the NHS if he wins.
But Mr Gove is facing calls to step down to ensure party unity.
Business minister Anna Soubry said Mr Gove had "behaved appallingly" in pledging his support for Boris Johnson and then withdrawing it at the last minute.
Did Gove take part of the nationalist racist appeal for "out" votes or did he leave that messy part up to Johnson? He seems like a poisonous snake. That said, looking at the candidates the main parties are running for Prez in the US, I'm not crowing.
