Bronze patches and too much information

Been growing this little baby under a 100w clf for about 4 weeks, trying to get it used to the outdoors when the weather suits.

I believe that the issue is to do with nutrition, but the diagnosis articles, while very useful, are a little daunting to a noob. I would really appreciate an experienced opinion before i go pouring loads of un-needed chemicals on my baby.

In order to properly diagnose people need information:

Grow Medium
Lighting
Temp
Humidity
What nutes
How many PPM's
What is the PH of the soil/reservoir depending on grow medium
how often are you watering

looks like phosphorus deficiency..
possibly potassium too..
give a nice dose of nutes and watch to see if the problem stops getting worse.
consider a bigger pot possibly

Without knowing what PH and PPM's he running, that could make the problem much worse. a low PH will lock out the nutes. If you dose the plants during a lockout you could easily kill them.

Figure out the problem first, don't just throw nutes in.

Edit: in addition, too much of certain nutes will cause lockouts that look like the symptoms you have.

we planted it in soil for small plants to start it off, with about 25 percent perlite.

its been under the light in a closet with a 12 V fan.

we have done a bit of research so we havn't over watered it, and we tested our tap water and the PH was neutral.

the temp in the closet was probably around 22 degrees or there abouts,

HOWEVER........ we have had the plant pretty much under 24 hrs of light for its four weeks of life and have recently put it outside to soak up the good weather we have had!

EDIt. we thought the problem was magnesium deficiency, so i added some epsom salts, the suggested amount. thought you should know

PPM's and PH are critical.

it's a lot less likely to have ph fluctuation and nute lockout in soil R2F. especially in a plant so young. Having a tight handle on your Ph and your PPM's is key to successful hydro growing, but borders on immaterial info for many good soil growers.

i think it's more than just Mg. i would give them a nice strong dose of your regular base nutes.

Word, I don't know any soil grower with a PPM meter, lol, I say flush hem with nice pHd water, then hit them with a nice feed, I call it the ole flush~n~feed cure all

ok thanks for your posts guys, some sound information. so they plant is growing nicely and so far none of the other leaves have been affected.

what i wanted to ask is do you cut off the infected leaves??

also can infected leaves turn back to a healthy leaf once infected?

no leaves will ever change back. the problem is solved if it doesn't progress. cut off leaves if they are more than 50% damaged.

Get some Cal/Mag, or Epsom salts. And give the plants a flush! Should sort it
