Im a new grower with only 1 plant thats having many problems!!..first off its yellow spots hapent shrunk or grown.....its a month old and it looks like a baby no bigger then 9inches tall .....its got 2 layers of leaves ...the bottom leaves are yellowing.....and it grows of a florecent light that shocks me everytime i turn it on...the lights beside the plant, not above, because it grows in a cabinet ....no fan or ventilation...and its been the same size for like 2weeks with only the leaves getting bigger....it grows off no nutrients only tapwater.......Dose Anyone Think It Will Survive????
And yes i know 1 plants not smart to grow because it probly will be a male
Who says growing a male is necessarily a bad thing? Treat it right, collect some pollen, and harvest it at the most opportune time. You can still get high off a male. It just takes more plant matter and more work.
What do you mean by "two layers of leaves"? Bottom leaves yellowing are not necessarily a problem. In fact, it's quite understandable since the plant hasn't been fed any nutrients. The plant's just doing what it has to do to survive.
Tapwater is fine, unless you have hard water. Even if you do, it's not a horrible problem.
You need more light. One flourescent is not enough to grow a plant. Salvage some lamps and get some hefty CFLs, or do the same with a rewired bathroom light fixture. Do you know how many lumens you're using? And why the hell is it shocking you?
And the plant needs SOME air exchange. Open the cabinet whenever you're home. And do NOT use Miracle Grow plant good. If you absolutely must, dilute the shit out of it- don't go anywhere near the recommended dose for house plants that's on the label. It really is worth it to spring for two things- better lights, and good nutrients. You and your plant will be happy you did it in the end, trust me.
If you don't change some things, yes, your plant will probably die. You can cut some corners, and keep effort minimal with a soil grow. However, you can't simply half-ass everything and expect a thriving plant. And why would you want to anyway? Growing any plant is enjoyable... Cannabis especially so! Follow the advice of the people on this forum- all of that information is here for a reason.

As far as nutrients go, I always recommend FoxFarm. They have simply outstanding products, which are tried and true. Go see what ebay can do for you when you shop FoxFarm- will be much cheaper there than from a hydroponic business.
