Brown Tips

what does it mean when the tip of the leaf is goin brown ? it seems that when i pull it out of dark its not brown and looks fine ... from what i last checked .. but then after bein in the light for a couple hours it goes brown ( not 100% sure if it actually goes back n forth) but what is the cause of it going brown ? its still healthly and looks fine. my lights are about 3 inches above i believe give or take 2 inches at most but its no further then 5 inches.

are you using nutes? whats ur ph lvl?

no nutes cuz hes only 2 weeks old, im not sure the ph of the soil

im using 4 1800 lumen CFL bulbs, 2 on each, pics later today

like i said i dont know the soil PH, and as far as watering goes, i spray them once a day and once more if they get moist

the plant is still a lil baby, it doesnt even have any actually marijuana looking leaves yet, its going really really slow, but seems to be growing

If the leaves that are closest to the lights are getting brown, that's most likely heat burn from the lights. Move them a little or rotate your plants every couple hours. Also install an oscillating fan to simulate the light breezez in mother nature. That would build nice strong stems.

If the browning is all over, that could indicate a lot of different issues. Burning from fert, not enough light (especially if it's the lower leaves), deficiency of some chemical, disease, insects, etc. Do a search on problems, there is an excellent thread with pics for all types of plant problems. I've used it extensively on my grow. Hope this helps.

i don't understand this going from brown to not brown thing. if a part of the leaf dies it will brown, it does not come back to life.

do you have tip burn or not?

so rry i was really high when i wrote that .. the tip of it is brown and stays like that ... i dont believe its the lights but im gonna start rotating the plants, and i do have a fan on them. i dont think i should be feeding nutes yet ... its not even that big
