I made my first edible this weekend!

I figured since I had kief I didn't need to do any of the traditional preparations for cooking cannabis.

I took 3g of kief I made using the dry ice method on all my recent trim. (Super Lemon Haze) I melted some butter and mixed in that kief, and then made brownies with that butter. Mmmmmm they turned out good! I ate two brownies over the course of one all day road trip and loved every second of it :D

I'll definitely be doing this again :)

Great job, glad that worked out for you. Next time if you use coconut oil instead of butter it will help the THC absorb in your system better.

Btw any upset stomach at all?

Most people "prepare" Cannabis to get the THC and CB's out of the plant matter as it can cause some stomach upset.

Nope, didn't have an upset stomach at all.

I didn't "prepare" the cannabis, because there was no plant matter in this case. I used 3g of kief.

Just to be clear, kief is not "purified Cannaboids". It's rub off from the buds so it includes everything.

You might notice the difference when you smoke some kief and some ISO oil separately.
You will notice two completely different highs because kief includes lots of other components that make you feel differently than ISO.
ISO is just THC and CB's so you only get the effect of those.

I made my first brownies two weekends ago. with veggie oil, turned out pretty damn good for sure. 3.5grams of some very sedative ethanol extracted oil but i didn't want to waste the best stuff on my first try.
last weekend i decarbed some of my best TrainWreck winterized bho(1.5grams) and mixed with a tablespoon of coconut oil, let it sit in warm coco oil for a few hours to make sure all of the extract was dissolved. Then I mixed it with about 10oz of very warm peanut butter and mixed very well until it was cooled down.
Turned out very good, ate 1/3 of it before a hike one morning and felt all my stresses/anxiety vanish for half a day, which included a few tokes after the hike.

I'm excited to be playing around with more edibles!

Good experiment! Next time try Grape Seed Oil, you'll get a little quicker/higher buzz.
