damn this looks like stem rot.. I might be wrong.. I was asking did you cut the fan leaves at the places where you see browning, cause it might got infected.. but if you cut leaves somewhere bellow, that should not be related. Anyway, you need a more experienced user in here to tell you about this. Stems should not show those kind of things, cause it can cause you loose everything what's above rotting part...

Temps are slightly low and run between 18C and 24C.

I am giving it quarter of the recommended (as recommended on the back of the bottle) amount "tomorite".

Thanks

its probably just where the plant healed itself after cutting the leaves off.it just hardens itself off by turning to a woody texture and brownish in colour.

but he said he gets browning on stem even where fan leaves were not removed? or did I get something wrong?

also resinousflower, maybe you know any thread or usefull info to read on about infections? cause in lots of places I see people advising use sterile tools not to get infections, but I do not see any articles or sections in book about when infections appear and how to treat them.. (except for the mold)

So.. 24hrs later and all looks ok but still seeing browning on stem. And this is not the area that I trimmed two fan leaves. Any ideas?

Thanks
I was imagining a bit different browning. I thought more drying/rotting browning. from this pic I see that fan leave petioles are just getting additional redish purple brownish pigment at the base. IMO you're fine. Also you plant looks very beautiful.

also just curious, what kind of nutes are you using? what dosage and what size is your container? what's the soil?
Thanks

Hi Simisimis... Thank you for saying my plant looks very beautiful...:) big compliment for my first ever grow. The pot is like a 9 inch pot, not sure how many liters etc.

I am using maxicrop organic with seaweed extract at just below the recommended dose for "young plants". Soil is just standard compost from the garden center. Not sure of the make etc but can find out for you later on.

Thanks again.
