Ok so heres the deal. I have been thinking about starting a journal for a while. And now that I have 6 new clones I think I will start one now!!!
First let me catch you up. I grew 2 Bubba Kush X Deep Chunk from seed.
I vegged them both for about 3 months in 5 gallon buckets.
I took 6 clones from each plant, and then put the 2 mature plants into the flower room to determine sex.
I had a 50/50 male/female ratio. I chopped the male and male clones. Good bye suckers!!!!
So thats where Im at.....

So heres the interactive part. I want to flower a couple soon, keep a mother around, and then I also want to veg a couple for atleast 4 months! I will put them into 10 gallon totes and see how big they get.
Dirtbag has inspired me with his huge trees he grows in his pornfolio thread. My goal is to pull 4-5 ounces per plant (like he does).
So tell me what you think. I have numbered the clones 1-6. Which ones and how many should I flower now, or keep around?

How did the ones you flowered turn out! Do the little ones look yellow because of the lights or are they over fed? I have some BubbaXDC about the same size going and they are a bluegreen color! No yellow but very trippy looking!
Hey man, they are doing great. The yellowing is due to the HPS lights. It is actually really dark green. Very healthy looking. I have a 400 watt HPS and two 70 watt HPS light as side lighting.

Very nice farmer. I like the interactive part, and you asked for it, so here it goes....
Most people would recommend waiting a while until putting them into flower, but I think it would be so cool if you did a side by side comparison. You know? Put two into flowering now and then two later, and the last two I would veg for a really really long time. Get those monsters you were talking about.
So here is my vote. Transplant #3 and #5 and begin flowering them right now.
Continue vegging the other 4 clones and wait until they get rooted really well before transplanting them.
What soil is that by the way? What lights are in the veg room?

Hey man I use Fox Farm Oceans Forrest mixed with coco coir. I like the coco coir because it holds moisture really well, and its very light and loose, it helps promote fast growth!!
In the veg room I have two 85 watt CFLs and two 50 watt HPS side lighting. In the flower room I have a 400 watt HPS and two 70 watt hps as side lighting.
Im also open to suggestions on topping, veg time, size of final pots, lst, more cloning or whatever you think.

Sounds like a good plan to me.
Transplant #3 #5 and begin flowering now. Ive seen people go 12/12 from seed, so it shouldnt be a problem.
Keep the other 4 clones in veg for a while. Put 2 of them in 5 gallon buckets and the other 2 in 10 gallon totes.
Those look nice and healthy!! Keep it up.

Here are some updated pics for ya. A better shot of the mother, now in flower. And also a picture of the 6 clones in veg. Enjoy everybody, happy growing!!!

Ok so everything is doing fine, but I thought we should discuss nutrients. I start with purified water that has a ppm of 12 and is 6ph.
I only use Fox Farm nutes and super thrive.
For this feeding I will be adding
1/2 tsp Grow Big
1/2 tsp Big Bloom
1/2 tsp Tiger Bloom
5 drops super thrive
60 drops ph up
The final result is 600ppm and 6.3ph
Ive included a picture of the nutrients I use. I am going to feed the 2 Chemos with this mix.
The Bubba Kush mother will get pure distilled water with one drop ph up to raise the ph to 6.3
The clones will not need to be watered or fed for some time, they are doing good.

Ok so this journal is supposed to be about the 6 clones I have. 2 of them are now in flower, and the other 4 are still in veg. However, they are not very exciting at this stage. They are doing well and I will be transplanting 4 of them soon. I will do an update on them when I transplant them into bigger pots.
In the meantime, I do have some Chemo that is flowering. So here is an update on them. As you know, I fed them yesterday, but they are so big they need water almost everyday!! So I mixed up some nutrients for them again. Normally I dont feed them everyday, but I have noticed some deficiencies, so its time to step up the feedings...
I fed the two Chemos the same feeding as yesterday,
1/2 tsp Grow Big
1/2 tsp Big Bloom
1/2 tsp Tiger Bloom
5 drops superthrive
ph up

The mother Bubba Kush received her first feeding today.
1tsp Grow Big
5 drops superthrive
ph up to 6.4 ph

pic 1 is Chemo #1
pic 2 is Chemo #2
pic 3 is the Bubba Kush mother

Hey guys and gals, its time for an update. Everything is going really well.
I spent some time in the veg room today. I put mylar on the walls, added an extra fan, and transplanted the 4 clones into 5 gallon buckets. And I took some pictures for all my friends at RIU!!
pic #1 is the veg room before I added mylar
pic #2 is a picture of the buckets and the soil
pic #3 Look at those roots... time to transplant
pic #4 The clones in their new home.
Everything in the flower room is looking good. My 2 Chemos are doing well, the adult Bubba Kush is really healthy, and the 2 clones are starting to show some growth.

Ok so I was sitting back, relaxing, and admiring a job well done.:blsmoke: But then I got to thinking.....
Maybe I should transplant one of those clones into a larger rubbermaid tote. Do you think its too early for that big ass tote? I will let you guys vote on it, tell me what you think. This is an interactive journal.
My goal is to end up with atleast 1 HUGE MONSTER!!! I will probably veg it for 4 months..... we will see, its still early.

Ok so yesterday I transplanted my 4 Bubba Kush clones into 5 gallon buckets. I was thinking about putting one of them into a large rubbermaid tote, but never did. I put it up for vote and got 0 replies. So I guess Im leaving them all in the 5 gallon buckets.... for now ;-) Eventually I want a HUGE tree, so one of them will need to be transplanted sometime in the future.:hump:
Today I have included some bud porn from the flower room. The pictures are from my oldest Chemo. She still has about 4- 5 weeks left, but the buds are filling in nicely. Right now she is 4 1/2 feet tall and has about 6-7 large top colas. :weed:

Hey tomato, looks good man. I finally got over here to check things out. I love the plants, they really look happy!! I'm using the fox farms nutes as well, I've been pretty happy with them. I got the open sesame, but havn't been able to afford the other 2 solubles. I was pretty happy with how the open sesame seemed to work though. Anyway, things look great, I'll be watching.......TC

Hey Thundercat, glad to see you made it over here. I know things arent too exciting at the very begining of a journal, but keep watching, things will get better I promise.
So lets all sit back, relax, and smoke some cannabis. Tonight I cleaned out my smallest pipe, and filled it full with premium homegrown "Chemo."bongsmilie Oh man this is some good weed.:weed:
The weather is getting warmer, and as a result my grow room is getting warmer. The tempature outside today was over 90 degrees f. And the tempature inside the grow room reached a very high 82 degrees f. So I went out and bought a new portable a/c for the grow room. Now the temp inside the grow room is 75 degrees f all day, all night. Problem solved.:hump:
Stay tuned ladies and gentlemen, another big update is coming next.....

Ok, now that we are all relaxed.....:joint: its time to talk marijuana
Lets start out with the veg room. I have 4 very young Bubba Kush X Deep Chunk girls. I recently transplanted them into 5 gallon buckets. And they are doing pretty well. 2 of them are growing really fast, and the other 2 are kinda "stunted" in growth. All is good though, they will pull through Im sure.
The bloom room is totally awesome!! I have 2 Chemos, 1 Bubba Kush X Deep Chunk mother, and 2 young Bubba Kush X Deep Chunk little girls. They are all doing very well. I have included some pictures for ya...

Beautiful plant man, gotta love the fruits of your labor !!
Hells yes!!:hump: Thank you sir!

Ok, guys and gals out there in RIU world, Im thinking I want to name my plants. Instead of calling them numbers. And since this is an interactive journal, I want to hear some suggestions. I am only naming my 6 Bubba Kush X Deep Chunk girls. I will not be naming my older plants because they are almost ready to harvest. The exception is the mother plant. Because she will be known as "Mother."
So lets hear it..... I need 6 totally awesome names!!
