everything is looking real green! Ive been thinking about trying out white widow for my next grow. Ive had white lightning and it was pretty damn good, so i cant imagine some WW.

How do you like those pots? I was thinking about getting some but opted for some rootmakers. So far they have been great to my babies!

keep up the good work

Looking great my friend! i also have a labeling problem, i just wait till flower to find out what they are. Me and my roommate have been taking so many clones its to hard to keep track of dates and strains so we just go by size and leaf, luckily most of out plants look quite different leaf wise anyway and we flower once they are a reasonable height. Once their in flower its easy to figure out whats what. One day i might start using that herb.iq program i started to use then stopped lol, one day......

lamo, naw man I just laugh at the smell / taste desciptions, I look for type of high it has, but I know what you mean...too funny. Its the only regular seed of the 4 so if its a male Ill know which one it is...lol

I see you use the FFof and line up. I did till this grow. I kept having knats in the OF so I am trying Root Poting soil and as soon as I switch to bloom (tiger) nutes my leaves yellow 3 weeks in. How do you keep yours looking good? Do you use the Open, Beastie and Cha Ching? If you dont mind sharring! Im tring Dyna Gro this round but may go back to FF after seeing your ladies...

I did have my largest yeild per plant with FF and the OPen Beastie and Cha, burnt every leaf off, smoke was good, got 3 zips from one plant and 4.5 from another...
Yeah FFOF is ALWAYS loaded with gnats in my experiance, think I got thrips from it too... baught it twice, 6 months apart and encountered it as well as lots of reports of it on here. They don't sterilize it to keep the benies alive, but shit with everything that seems to come in it I'd rather just re inoculate it with some Great White then deal with the shit they leave in there and sell u @ $25 dollars a bag. What are better alternatives if you don't mind me asking....just in case I ever dip into the organic soil world again.

I use FFOF still but not the rest of the FF line-up anymore. I switched sometime the middle of last year. This is my local hydro guys own mixture...CORNUCOPIA!!... I did a side by side comparison of the two and got rid of the FF as soon as I could afterwards lol. FF is good it's just that dif in the results was amazing. I usually still hit them once about 3/4 the way in 12/12 with Cha Ching still. It's what my hydro store guy recommended haha.
Thanks HC, I no now I got FF from your ICE smoke report...I remember seeing this pic in your thread now. I am going to give it a try for sure if I can get it...How much cha ching do you give? I gave 1/4 teaspoon and the cola leaves stick straight up on some strains. lol

well if the price is cheaper with better results sounds like a smart move

Thanks AK

I love smart pots and the plant seem to as well. The roots are air pruned. The root ball is a very fibrous root system. Here is some info I found and is why I use them.

Air-pruning Containers -- the key to growing trees best suited to urban spaces is to maintain most roots in a horizontal position with continued branching. This can be accomplished by allowing air to prune the roots as they first reach the bottom and later the sides of the growing container. The dead root-tips have effectively been cauterized and are unlikely to be colonized by pathogens. Young seedlings respond by developing fibrous absorbing roots laterally in the container. Effective air-root-pruning containers guide root-tips into the numerous openings without having openings so large that rapid evaporation and salt accumulation become an issue. Repeated pruning on the bottom, as well as the container sides, helps the tree develop a vigorous and efficient root system.

'Most water and nutrient absorption occurs at or just behind the white root-tip. When root-tips grow out from the base of the plant and are stimulated to branch as a result of air-root-pruning or root-tip-trapping when they reach the sidewall, branching typically occurs about four inches back along the young root. The “four-inch rule” appears to apply to all species when roots are young and reactive. If this large number of roots hits the side of a smooth, conventional container and begins to circle, little is gained. On the other hand, if this large number of roots contacts the sidewall and is again either air-root-pruned or pruned by root-tip-trapping, the resulting mass of roots infiltrates the entire mass of growth medium for maximum absorption of water and nutrients to support top growth."

Thanks A6, not happy with my leaves on some and the others I fcked up from overwatering. I think I finally got the lemon skunk out of itd funk but has no fan leaves left...oh well grow and learn...lol I only need the name if it good so I can order more beans...lol and I let the plant say when its ready to chop...

I used OF twice and got gnats both times. I bought Roots organic coco fiber mix (brown bag) by mistake, I dont like that shit, how it looks, too loose and both the flowering plants and babies I have in it are doing the worst. I went and got the Roots Organig POTTING SOIL in the green camo bag. I like how it feels, looks and the plants I put in it are doing the best and NO BUGS. Most of the babies are in it and going to up pot to 2gal would do 3 if I was veging longer. So I will have a better feel from it then.

ROOTS ORGANICS NATURAL & ORGANIC POTTING SOIL
A truly exceptional ready-to-use coco fiber-based potting soil. We begin with a base of the highest quality coco fiber/Coir on the plant which is repeatedly washed for an incredibly low EC, and composted for over twenty-four months, and is specially blended with extra long fibers. This soil is amended with only the highest quality organic ingredients including bat guano, premium earth worm castings, fish bone meal, feather meal, green sand, mycorrihzae, glacial rock dust, soybean meal, humic acid, and many more. Already blended with correct proportions of perlite and pumice for excellent drainage and a vigorous root system, Roots Organics potting soil encourages healthier plants and better yields.

Oh and if you want something that holds more water they have a 707 mix...

Formula 707 was created for a special kind of gardener, one who wants to control their own destiny. Formula 707 is different from the other potting mixes created by Aurora Innovations. It was designed with greater water holding capacity, less perlite and pumice, and a light charge of nutrients for a good back bone but plenty of room for you to amend. It’s base is peat moss, coco fiber, compost, perlite and pumice.

Hey durb

every website I read peeps love Root, the 707 doesnt have all the bat shit and stuff so the gardener can add what they want and hold more water is how I understand it.

The potting soil mix has all the bat shit and stuff that I like..lol If you only veg for 4 weeks or so you really dont need anything just add for flower...I have been adding just a light amout of veg nutes and the babies are doing well...

707 should be great out doors esp on those hot summer days, holding more water for the girls to drink...good choice...

Hey man hows it going. I have only used Roots once, the one in the camo bag. Couple of years ago dug a hole in the ground in the middle of a field within view of my house and stuck the bag with a plant in it in the hole. Seems to be a lot of positive feedback from you guys about though, maybe I'll give it another shot. Or at least a side by side and see how it compares. I've been using the FFOF for four years and have just started getting fruit flys about six months or so ago. It's not to hard to keep them in check and if you don't have a large number of plants you can do stuff like put hydroton or sand or something along that line on top of the soil. As far as outdoors I am def going to look into the 707

HA! we did the same with a male plant, it was in a vacant field on the corner of my block, one night i went out dug a hole and dropped the plant in there. I thought it'd be great to have a giant tree out there :) It lived for about 2-3 weeks, grew like 2-3 more feet once it saw the sun a unlimited dirt. Then some city workers came by to clean up the field, mow, etc. Their reaction when they saw the plant was hilarious! i was just standing at my kitchen window laughing my ass off, They dug it up and put it in a 5 gal bucket, and were all staring at it like " hmmmmm what should we do with it " great times lol.

Going ok, getting better day by day but miss my friend. Comes and goes. :?

Anyway FF opened a new plant in SC to reduce shipping cost and use ingredients from the local area. From what I understand the thats when people started having issues with it. How did that plant turn out? Not good I guess. Which one did you try?
The green one is ROOTS ORGANICS NATURAL & ORGANIC POTTING SOIL

The brown is ROOTS ORGANICS COCOFIBER HYDROPONIC SOILLESS MEDIA

Man guess im gonna have to give smart pots a go. RIU's raving about how good they work. I use a soil called black gold but I cant wait to try subcools super soil. Its base ingredient is roots so that stuff must be good too.

Last night I up potted 6 babies (SB, JB, Barneys BC, CT, PE, VK) from the one gal starters to 2 gal that Im gettin ready to flower. I had 3 gals but didnt have enough soil. I may up pot them to the 3s later but idk yet. I decided to give them another week before flower to get a little bigger and so I can get better clones. I have to use a knife to seperate the roots from the smart pots on the sides and litteraly tear them from the bottom. I have done this on two grows now and it doesnt even phase them. So I have to laugh when I read "I dont want to up pot because it will stress my plants" lol give me a break...HA!

Took these pics this morning.
