I had a thread on how it was built and how it works but I dont think all these stoners understood it...lol I didnt get a single question...

The fan greats a vacum (negitive pressure) and draws in fresh cool air from the bottom while not letting any light in or out. The floor is two panels spaced 1.5" apart. Let me find some pics I can explain it better.

Stealth was my goal, everything hidden, self contained, quite and no light coming in or out. I was going to stain it with nicer hinges and latch, put some corner trim, base and crown molding.... So if someone not down with the prgram was to see it they would just think its a nice cabinet...I spent 2 or 3 weeks designing it. Its quiet with the S&P mixed vent fan and I can have the light on in the room and no light gets in the cab, pitch black..... There is a lite glow from under the bottom in a dark room but that can be eliminated if I would paint between the 2 floor sections flat black. I just havnt done finished it yet. It KICKS the DR150 tents ASS. The tents are flimsy, loud and lights up the whole fucking room...lol The only thing better about the tent putting it together and take down, folds up into a nice bag.


Here is the link to the tehread but all the pics were lost when rui changed. It workes so good I built a 4x4 just like it. I olny bought a tent beacuse I rent and didnt want to keep hauling those big sheets of plywood fuckn up the walls...lol

"The cabinet is 29” x 48” x 6’-5” inside dimensions. Outside is 30” x 49” x 7’. I designed it around equipment I already had. With the light all the way up it has a max plant grow height of 48” from top of pot to bottom of light with 4” clearance. The intake air comes in from the bottom. It has a two ½” plywood floor panels spaced 1.5” apart. The air intake holes between the two floor panels are offset to minimize light coming out. I also added a ¼” gap in the top floor panel for air flow around the perimeter. The area of the holes in the top and bottom floor equal. The ceiling is dropped 3.5” down from the sides with a 2”x4” down the center to support the light. The timer, ballast, electrical strip all sit on top of the ceiling and are hidden from sight. The exhaust goes out through the ceiling as well. "

"How it works: the fan pulls air from through the carbon filter and then flows through the reflector and then out the top of the cabinet scrubbing the smell at the same time. This creates a vacuum which pulls fresh cooler air in from the bottom (through the double floor) that directs the cool air up and around and between the plants. I leave this fan on 24/7 for scrubbing and air flow. It is working so well I had to add a speed control to slow it down to keep the temps up to 80 – 82. Since it is winter I had to add a small heater in the room to keep the temps up when the lights are off. I didn’t need the second fan for cooling after all but left it to move more air in the cabinet to thicken the stems. It runs on low speed and goes off with the lights."

freah air enters through the square holes. I sanded the edges to smooth air flow. The total area of the wholes are matched to the crm of my fan, too small and the air speed will be too fast and create a lot of noise and wind whip you babies...lol

top floor panel, it was set up for 9 plants 3 rows of 3 to allow room between plants for good light penitration. sanded holes for smooth air flow, it also has a 1/4" or 3/8" gap where it meet the wall to allow air flow on the outside as well as through the holes. The plants get a constant air flow from the bottom up all around each plant.

Thats my goal, keep it rolling, I hate waiting 4 months everytime...my shit is out of control with all these strains and clones but I love it, lol, these girls are working the shit out of me right now...but once I get it setted in should be good, get a chop every 2 weeks or so.

As soon as I get some funds I need another ballast and a cab, I have an extra 600 hps bulb and want to try some vertical lighting and see if I like it if not just get another magnum and let it rip...

Also that damn Cole Train if 27" allready from like 13" or so - 11 days into flower, has anyone topped a plant at this stage? I my just lst her top down... Anyone?????

Edit: make that 28" she grew another inch over night...geeze...I would love to see her out side I bet she would be a MONSTER...

My RIU broke too. And uploading pics now puts them full size in my thread view so editing the order is difficult now damnit!

I would lst her down now, worked great when I did it my first grow.

And the box looks sick, what kinda fan are u going to be using?

Bend or supercrop and then tie down but don't top. 11 days isn't that long into flower but topping will still hurt your yield.

And that box looks premo!

Thanks SG, I built that box Jan 2010. I just reposted the pics for HC. He had a ? about how it worked. Thats the same cab I used last grow with the BB, LSD and Sharskbreath.

I use S&P TD150s, Ive have had 2 of them for a while, dual speed, super quite, and is a mixed vent fan designed for long duct runs with minimal pressure drop. I wont use anything else.

Thanks Jerry, A vote from you two guys for LST is good enough for me, LST it shall be. It killed me to have to top my Hawaiian Snow after the heater fried it...

Off to the garden, got several rooted clones that need some dirt, a load of clones to cut from the Sharksbreath and 2 Big Buddha Blue Cheeses and several babies needing a bigger pot!

Hey Agent, yea they did ok, I just gave some tlc and kept them hydrated...oh and the heater pointed the other direction! lol

HS was one big root ball in that 1 gal, just put her in a 3 gal and she was smiling back at me...
