Bubblehash Making Tips

Does anyone have any bubblehash making tips or link me to the right page for info? Last time I made it it turned out really green and was earthy and harsh. I used quality trim, mostly buds that were on the lower parts of my plants I choose not to trim. Maybe presoak it? I didn't last time I just went for it with a paint mixer and a drill in the 5 Gal buckets with the 5 bags.

Overmixing is what makes the hash green. What happens is the plant matter gets broken into tiny pieces and contaminates the hash.

What you want to do is mix for less then 10 mins each batch. And do multiple runs with the same material.

You can get an equal yield from the 1st and 2nd run, and if you keep the mixing short the quality will be good. The 3rd run is where the yield goes down so you can mix for a bit longer and harder on the 3rd run if you want to make sure you get everything out of the material.

Pre-soak is only to make the crystals cold with the ice water. I just keep my trim in the freezer.

small batches, light beating, chop up the wet hash (gently) as fine as you can get it. Dry it out evenly. You have to use great bud to get great hash. Then your on the road to full melt heaven.

IMO dont let the shit dry at all. i made some over the last few days and i used some dry stuff in the first batch and it all broke up into tiny pieces and it came out very very green and i couldnt even make sticky balls out of it. the second day i used fresh cut trim and put it in the freezer over night. did some dry sieving w only 2 screens. after the first 3 runs it started to come out damn near pure. so the crispy leaves is what really causes the probs. I only had 2 plants to make the good batch but heres a pic of it.View attachment 1631257

were talking about bubble hash here, not dry sieve. Glad to hear your method of sifting worked out for you. my reply wasnt for him to dry his plant material it was to dry the hash out properly which is a must. whether or not you let your plant material dry out is your own choice, it can be done either way. i suggest trying it out both ways to see which type of hash you prefer, as the end result will be different.

what he said the only thing i might add would be to use quality bubble bags. also dont dry the material out freeze it while it is still fresh.
