Bubbleponic, questions

Hello world, I just have a few questions (Have searched but couldn't find answers)

My first question is do you need a water pump for a homemade setup? I mean can't you just drop an air stone in the container?

Second Question, water level, should the water level in the container be filled completely up to the top of the baskets?

Also, how often should you flush the container and add new nutrients?

Another question, can you add veg nutrients when your plant first sprouts?

I apologize in advance if these questions have already been answered on this forum, I couldn't find them. I know it can be annoying to see someone ask the same stupid questions over and over again.

Thanks

You should never apologize for seeking knowledge. Picture below is a DIY air-stone unit I built last year. Works great and cost about $15. Keep the root mass OUT of the water, allowing only the mist to interact with the root system. Any questions, feel free to PM me. Good luck & good grow.......BB bongsmilie

Thanks for replying, that was fast. Great photos, can see what's going on. I tried sending you a pm, it wouldn't work. Must be because I'm a new user, not sure, I guess I should read up on it. Are those clones? Because it looks to me the stem is in the water.

You dont need a pump.Fill resevoir where about an inch of the net pot is submerged. When roots start to hang down into resevoir, the level can go down.Once roots start pertruding and a couple set of leaves are present start feeding at 1/4 strength.
