Bubbleponics vs. Soil Example With Pics

Hey friends, Just started growing a new batch of ladies and i am growing several strains both in bubbleponics and soil. The soil ones will be used for mums and the hydro for harvest. Before growing hydro i was hesitant, but after i started seeing much better results i only use soil now for mums!

In the pic are 2 barneys farm red diesel feminized. Each were germinated at the same time and transplanted at the same time. Nutes were first given at the same time as well.

Both under 1 30 something watt cfl each.
Will switch over to 400 mh bulb when done using the ballast and reflector for a batch of flowering ladies and a hps now.

Hydro nutes: Botanicare pure blend grow/cal0mag plus/liquid karma all started at quarter recomended dosage.

Soil nutes: Fox farm grow big/liquid karma both at 1/4 strength as well.

I will keep you updated and show comparison pictures of my Mazar plants as well. Stay tuned

(Oh and im not trying to bash soil growers i just thought this would help those who are hesitant on switching or trying hydro. Its a bit more work, but it pays off!):peace:

honestly,i think its less work...for lil systems anyways...u only have to worry about ph for the most part...
and idk bout yours, but once my ph is set..it usually stays put for a while.till i change out the water...
it sure beats wondering.if you gave it too much water.or not enough water...
the lights, humidity.vent is pretty much the same...
so my thinkin is..less worries..bigger buds...go hydro.

Yea i have a ph and tds pen and it really isnt too much work. The nutes are pricey, but you should be able to get your money back if doing it right.

Update 2 my niggas who truly care!

just topped the hydro red diesel yesterday and will top the soil one in a week or so.

Interesting fact: a blueberry i am growing with the red diesel in the hydro split itself into two tops on its own so i topped both of em! :)

note that root space is way more crucial on soil.
with the same rootspace a hydro grown plant will be way way bigger than a soil grown one.

Yea, which is why i am making sure to transplant early to bigger pots. I transplanted from the red cup to the 1 gallon at just 1 1/2 weeks old and i plan on transplanting to a 3-5 gallon just before flower.:joint:cheers

Very interesting, I have a Bubbleponics on the way and I have been doing my first try with soil so as these two soil plants I have near the next stage. I am going to be swapping out the hydro unit with a few clones I picked up.
