bubbleponics

So im looking into building a cheap (very cheap like $40 for 4 pots) bubbleponic system. im wondering do i have to use 5 gallon buckets? could i use say 1 gallon buckets so i could in a way do a sog with bubbleponics?

You have to remember bigger the pot the bigger the root.the bigger the root the bigger the fruit

What mista32 says. My roots are packed into a 5 gallon by the end to the point it can't take a full gallon of water at once.
