bubbles in hydro

does having bubbles in my ebb and flow rez help out my plants at all? they are watered by flood and drain throughout the day.

also do i need hydroton in my flood tray or are big rockwool cubes enough for my plant roots?

The air stones put extra oxygen in the water, and yes this is beneficial to the plants and necessary if you are using organic nutes. You need to cover the outside of the cubes. I use 8" pots in my flood and drain tables, not necessary, I think its easier to work with. VV

The air bubbles also keep the solution mixed up.
