so ive been lurking around several different forums for a while. This is my second attempt at growing my own "aspirin".

I'm using 6 cfl's 4 6500 23w and 2 2700 55w
ffof soil
ff nutes
nirvana bubblelicious reg
in a cabinet from wallyworld

I was going to use UB's topping method but, seeing as how they're coming along so bushy I'll leave them. I do "make it rain" about once a week...
today ends the 14 day veg cycle. Last grow I vegged for a month using a smartpot and ended up with a bush... any comments and critiques welcome.

Good looking ladies, I am pissed because I have the Bubba fem seeds from Nirvana and the three seeds I started look totaly different from eachother. Some have thin leaves and some have fat leaves. But no worries Gl on your grow and once again they look healthy!

i'm also growing that strain right now. I vegged it for a long time and waited till i had 4 clones growing then last week I put her in my flower box. Not much growth spurt once under the 12/12 cycle. I know it's only just over a week, but my sativa blueberry would have grown 5 inches by now. bubbles has only grown about a 1/4" taller. I love the leaves this thing has!!!! 9 points and very healthy!!! good luck on your grow... I'm subbed for the ride!

not that i know that much about genetics but it may be that you have 3 diff phenotypes? thanks and GL on yours as well.

she vegged for 9 weeks... i know that's a long time but there were a few factors that kept her veggin for so long. It wasn't the plan, it just ended up that way.... harvest time should be just before xmas.... it's gonna be a happy new year!!

sounds like a happy new year indeed. Have you tried making it rain yet? that usually gives them a really nice growth spurt since bubbles isn't doing as much stretching.

folier feeding during flowering?? it happens to my outdoor plants all the time but i never sprayed water on my indoors....... do you spray them with just plain water?

I am going to, but I am going to wait about 2 more weeks, I plan to start the journal when they go into bloom, it will be a bubbilicous and snow white journal.. I will keep ya posted...

nice bike btw, I have a couple bikes myself, I built a bobber a few years ago and I have a soft tail standard I'm selling..

Different strains = different growth speed/formation/etc...

just be patient. I had a Nirvana 'ICE' plant that took 2 and 1/2 weeks before she spit her first set of pistils out (showed sex). But, once I factored in the fact that Nirvana's 'ICE' strain is almost PURE Sativa.. I then understood why it took her a little longer to show her first pistils. Some strains grow faster than others.. some strains grow a little different than others. It's all about genetics. ;)

But again, just be patient buddy. The plant will eventually show its sex to you. If your in a hurry though, you could try and force it to show earlier by simply adding another hour or half hour to the dark time of the lighting cycle. In other words.. instead of using 12/12.. try taking off an extra hour of "lights on" time.. and adding that extra hour to the "lights off" time. This will make the plant think its running out of time to show sex (to either pollinate and or produce seeds; AKA reproduce).. and therefore will speed the "sexing" cycle up a bit.

Good luck either way!

Thanks for the tip!! I sort of make it rain one time at the end but for a completely different reason... about 4 days before harvest i make it rain heavy w/cold water and i stick the plant in a cool dark place for about 4 days. halfway through this dark period I feed her with blueberry oolong tea ( I grow blueberry plants) she soaks up the tea and when I havest I feel it gives the buds a sweeter taste. The taste seems to come alive more in a vaporizer. you can't beat a wake and vape!

I won't be doing this with my bubblelicious or wonder woman.... although maybe i can find some bubble gum flavored extract..... maybe on the next plant though... i want to keep these two very clean as a control group. I'm not sure if i want to keep these strains alive in my op so they are both under evaluation right now. but i do like the bubble so far.... great growth,easy to clone,fast rooting,fast growing. If i can later add in fast flowering,great buds, and most important great smoke. then i got a keeper!!!

thanks for the info luvr! although I didn't do such a good job explaining my happiness... I wasn't complaining about the growth being slow. I was in fact, celebrating it! my sative plants always grow out of control when i start the flowering cycle. this drives me crazy! LST is non-stop! so my new indica not doing this is a great change for me. I don't like to force anything on my plants... i like em to grow at thier own pace. she has already shown her sex so i wasn't woried about that i was just concerned about the vertical growth not happening. I'm gonna introduce some flowering nutes to her this coming week. I can't wait to see what happens!

so tomorrow starts the official 12/12 light cycle beginning. It has driven me ape not being able to check on the littles today(24hrs of dark). So since theres no update to speak of lets just burn a bowl of our own choosing and jam to some vintage zz top... (check out Dusty burning one down right before going on stage)

so after dragging my ass out of bed at an abnormally early hr because of the time change; this is what I woke to. They're reaching a little but I'm assuming thats cause they were out for a day? Still lookin healthy. Fed them with a little tigerbloom and bigbloom about 1/4 strength. We'll see if they like it or not. I'm thinking of switching to Jack's Classic for the rest of flower tho. Any recommendations?
Also put a pic of my cabinet in there. I know it's sideways...
