what humidity levels should be in the actual bud to then start jarring up its just my last 2 grows i think i left to hang for to long and this affected finale product just looking for opinions thanks wanna get this right growing is just the start curing is another thing peace

No you don't need a boveta pack, once the outside of your bud reaches around 60% H then you toss it in jars, burp 2-3 times a day 30min to an hour each, and honestly it's all personal preference, some people like dry weed that breaks up easily, others like a little squish to their nugs, now remember when your bud feels dry it may not entirely be dry, make sure stems snap or are pretty dry cause your bud will suck the moisture from the stem

I use boveda's once it's stabilized.
we want RH inside the jars to be 60-65%. This requires an accurate hygrometer and recommend the caliber IVR's mounted inside the lids. those cheap one's accuracy are +-5% and that just won't cut it for our purposes here.

If you wait until the stems bend at ~30 degree angle, and sorta 'snap' but do not break completely in two. they will be pretty much in the correct range right off the line. otherwise you will find yourself having to remove them from the jars to dry a little more... losing trichomes in the process.

there is a real good drying/curing tutorial on ILGM but links like that are not allowed here.
it ain't hard to find. worth the read!

Agree 60 -65% - 62% being best - but don't use Boveda packs they destroy terpene's (taste, flavor) even thou they do work on keeping RH at specified RH on packs - I would not use them in curing

I have heard some people say that but that is what they are made for and personally, the bud tastes good to me. I may try it without on this next plant. I think other factors may have been to blame in those cases... like too high temps in flower is one thing that would cause it.

I vape and weed at 62% humidity is way too wet for grinding and most vapes require ground herb so I would be one who prefers drier herb. Most vapes work better with somewhat drier herb also.
