bud regineration??

I heard that if you cut the buds 1/4 of the way up, the left over 1/4 bud will reginerate into a new bud, providing people with multiple harvests in one season. I dont know if theres any truth in this claim but I was just wondering. I also read on a 'growing marijuana' page it said if you cut the buds at the end of harvest 3 weeks later the plant dies. but this cant be because I have heard of people making several harvests in one growing season. thanks for any help. hmm i am not sure about cutting the bud one quarter of the way up. but i think that if you harvest the buds early then let the plant flower you will get new buds there is alot more on this subject and i am sorry for over simplifing it but you can keep your mama alive after harvesting it just depends on how you harvest. just google it or look in a grow guide about growth You can snip off the flower, right at the spot where it joins the plant,
and a new flower will form in a couple of weeks. This can be repeated two or
three times to get several times more flowers than usual.
