Bud Rot! Help!

Hi all. So this is my second grow and I have run into what I believe is bud rot. The bud is huge: 2"-3" in diameter and about 1 foot long. When I cut it, it weighed 70g wet. I hung it up to dry and opened it up by separating some of the buds, and down inside it, some of the bud feels slimy and has a brown tinge. I can only assume this is bud rot. The hairs are a dark brown in the affected areas. I got in there with my fingers and pulled off the parts that were slimy and gross. It is hanging up to dry in a closet right now. The very inside of the bud is all that is affected, is there anything that can be done at this point?

not quite sure but ill throw my opinion into the ring. For the development of bud rot is generally agreed that the humidity is too high in the room, im not sure of your setup but if you want to put a dehumidifier in the room it might help. Sorry i got no idea what rot looks or feels like hope this helps

Once the mold is visible in the bud it has already spread its spores throughout the entire bud. Because of this, the bud that "looks" ok will taste awful. I wouldn't smoke any of it...mold spores in your lungs is bad news.

Unfortunately there isn't really anything you can do. The only way to get anything from your moldy bud is to make butane iso hash oil. In the future make sure you have good air flow moving around the buds and keep the humidity as low as possible.

just make sure that the humidity is between 40-60% because if it gets too low then your gonna need to water it more often due to the fact that your plant is trying to conserve moisture, the leafs will turn paper thin and shit just dont let the humidity get passed 70% and you should be good. Grow on
