My bad but yeah somewhere on a thread here or grasscity or one of the others people were saying they changed names cause the dead bacteria. Figured I'd rather be safe then sorry even though there is no guarantee Cease is any better then the rest.

The only difference might be the smell. Actinovate has no smell or color...which is why I switch to that the last few weeks. Not sure if Companion, or Cease have a smell, but Natria smells kinda bad.

Hope it's not putrid lol. Don't want turd smelling buds. I'll let you know if it ever gets here. Seems the things you need the fastest from amazon takes the longest. Free next day on everything else tho even if it's $5 lol.

For me it's hard to find places that ship to Canada, and cost with shipping isn't cheap. I think it's worth it though. Hopefully it works well this year too.
 
Using actinovate or other products from the start and then foliar spraying silica often (high ph on leaves) really help.
Fungus needs an acidic environment to grow on. Most silica is a very high ph. That is why I don't feed foliar with any other foods. In order for your plants to absorb most foliar feeds it needs to be acidic. At least in my experience you are just asking for mold or rot when you are adding anything with a acidic ph to your leaves.

Now here's a question for you because I use silicate as well. But would you not be providing an inhospitable environment for the good fungus you are applying as well?

Great question! Most bacteria like a neutral ph and others thrive in a more acidic environment (not sure what the healthy bacteria likes more) This is one of the main reasons I stop spraying the silica at about the 3rd week of flower, and try not to spray both at the same time.

We tend to get black spot fungus here if we get a lot of rain in the summer. It can start as early as late July.. so I do my best to keep it at bay. Last yr tho it did get on one plant but it was kept at bay.

Just got my stuff today(bacillus subtilis) and the pamphlet says maintain a spray solution between 4.5 and 8.5 PH, so it's pretty broad. Raining again today and tonight with a 50-60% chance day and night for the next couple days too so who knows when I'll be able to spray.

I wonder if spraying with just water (added lime) with a ph around 8 would help.
 
Picked out an eighth of bud today between 2 plants. Not bad considering but still tough with this weather waiting on the amber triches. The real ambers, not the ones that are just that color from damage. Was overcast and breezy with a clear radar for 50 miles so I sprayed about half of the plants with the Cease stuff, radar is still clear but now it's drizzling. Can't catch a break, next non rainy day is Saturday.

I forget but can you mix BT with the subtilis being they're both in the bacillus family? Would be nice to kill 2 birds being my limited windows with this rain...

Eesh... that would probably burn your plants. Some lime dust got on my car from the farmers spreading it across the road and it ate through my clearcoat and ruined it in spots.

Surprise to me was Epsom salt and other fertz were compatible for mixing. Was dropping well water into neutral range in buckets to put in the sprayer instead of my 275 gallon tank of PH'd water with Epsom salt just incase.
