So I should’ve been more aware an paid more attention but is this bud rot. It’s got some webbing. Is it salvageable? I have no idea how long because I never looked. There’s a few others with no signs. What’s the protocol?
I feel like my plants are on that show 1000 ways to dieOn the California coast the evening moisture can cause botrytis, I started seeing it this week. Same in years past. As jbc said, caterpillars only add to the contamination. Spray BT at first sign of white hairs, then regularly. When a plant gets hit with botrytis, the largest buds go first and usually continues until there is not much left. I triage daily which kind of keeps it from getting out of control. You may want to schedule the plant for harvest. I would like to see at least full milky trichromes prior to harvest. Mid sept harvest is a full month too early, but if I wait another two weeks my plant will be down to bare stems! Damn bud rot!
What do these said bastards look like. Flush has been initiated. May those dirty dick beaters suffer for what complications they have inflicted on these dense nugs that I was looking forward to ingest via inhalation. So if that plant was grown outside your looking at caterpillar damage. As they chow down on your buds they poop and piss which causes the rot. If your seeing webbing the worms have a toe hold in the plant and are likely getting bigger.
You can spray the plants with Monterey BT which will kill the worms but it's likely too late. You need to pre spray the plants throughout flower so your late to the game in that regard.
You would have to go through the buds with a fine tooth comb. You don't want any contaminated bud going on the drying rack.
Just luckily noticed a very small dark spot on top of bigger bud' ( usually develops in core of larger buds......can't detect early enough, I caught at 1st sign, saved a shit ton of bud, just cut rot well away from cola. Got some 200x pics.......So I should’ve been more aware an paid more attention but is this bud rot. It’s got some webbing. Is it salvageable? I have no idea how long because I never looked. Can I see them? Preach please. I just cut the top 4 big ones off. I had it separated from the rest but then someone didn’t follow directions, should I harvest everything? Here’s a closer look / dissect. I’ll pull my scope out gimme a min. Shit so apparently it’s a bad idea to let a daily flow of water from my spicket flood the side of my
Yard in a desert. I have recently realized that the thousands of massive grass hoppers and other terroristic inscents that absolutely love the bright street light swam to uncomfortable numbers that with each door opening leading to so many pest invasions I can’t give an exact number of species but I may consider a hazmat suit and fogger to take control back. These bugs have made a grave mistake to think this mistake of mine would go unnoticed. Neighbors are suspicious as I appear to be the only house on the block to have such a gathering of rather large grass hoppers and moths. I must thank the cannabis that just made me realize this careless mistake.
This has been a terrible season for botrytis-I have 3 rl friends growing outdoors this year, and 2 of them got hit hard. The one that didn't picked mold resistant strains and was serious about preventive IPM-he sprayed neem/silica during veg, a couple different bio-fungicides, and even sprayed the buds with chitosan after each rain. Good to remember for next year. Regalia is good for outdoors too, but $$$.
