bud rot?

I let my plant go longer than needed and some of the leaves died off. When I snip the the dead leaves away most of the bud is green, but on some there is brown or purple toward the center. Is this safe to smoke or make edibles with?

That's rot alright. Toss the affected buds and cut your losses. If you put those into cure it'll spread and fuck up your stash. Do not smoke or consume that shit.

Good ol stem rot. Had to burn pounds upon pounds of buds a few years ago because of this.

It was only on the large colas the rest looks unaffected. Anything I should do as a precaution? I have it all trimmed running under an oscillating fan on low speed at 58 rh.

wash em in hydrogen peroxide i forget the ratio but im sure someone can help you out
