bud size

I have a white widow x big bud and special kush the kush is 23 days into flower and the widow is 20 days into flower the widow flower are bigger than the kush already why could this be and I. Even have more light on the kush and their being grown with cfls

Different strains have different rates of growth. For example.. The first grow I ever did was Haze and Kush. The Kush grew small dense nugs and yielded about 2 zips...The haze however grew bottle sized colas and yielded around 3 zips. It all depends on the strain. If they were in two different environments or different nute schedules that would be different but I take it that's not the case.

I have also had some strains that look like they are going to be small producers, then all of a sudden in week 5 or 6 they fatten right up almost overnight!

Thats what happened to my haze... It started out very slow and exploded the last few weeks.

Yea its all in the genetics...some yield 500g m2 and some produce 300g m2
