12 hours of uninterupted darkness.

now does this mean no sound interuption also or just no other light while in the dark. im kind of lost in what you mean uninterupted darkness.

just no light at all. light coming out from cracks of doors is enough to upset plants in the dark cycle.

Yeah, just dont let any light in there. i stood inside my flowering room one day to test if any light came in with the room light on, and had a hard time finding my way out it was so light tight.

I have gotten my plant up to about 5 feet now. I have been pinching it back and removing shade leaves. I have just now started the budding process and have a ton of little tiny buds starting. I have been using 6 flourescent lamps 2 bulbs each would it hurt my plants now to introduce them to a metal halide 300 watter or amI good on light and just save that one till my net grow

adding more light during flowering is always good... the only thing bad about more light is more light = more heat... if you used just the 300 watter for flow that would be plenty for one plant however you could keep the CFL's for the added lumens and spectrum temperature permitting and if need be reduce the 6 CFLs untill you are at a permitable temp.... how many total watts of CFL are you running with the 6 you have in there currently?

well if your plant is 5 foot then ur gonna need all the lighting you can get....HID on the top and FLORO for side lgihting .....whats the sense in growing a plant that tall if the bottom isnt gonna have enought light to mature any way.....

might aswell keep it short that way all branches mature at the same time if you dont use the HID and have side lighting..... i have a 3 footer with a 400 watt hps and its hard enough to get the lower branches to mature rite

side light is always good... i run vertical t30's and hang some 45 watt cfls lower than the top... heres a pic

I have 16 flourescent t40 bulbs sideways surrounding my plant 3 120 watt cfl's overhead and a 300 watt metal halide. I have set the metal halide to turn on for 10 minutes and off for 5 minutes during its 12 hour light cycle. I plan a bigger grow next time since I am now legal with medical marijuania.I do have a problem with an extremely strong skunky odor any ideas how to keep the smell down. I dont want every Tom Dick and Harry to know I have a garden.
