i started a new micro grow not too long ago and i have had 4 harvest with it. the first one i harvested early do to what i thought was ph problems and i needed the room but im pretty sure it was soil mites that i found 2 harvests later that were the real problem.1st- harvest was thin but the buds weren't grown all the way.

2nd- short veg and 8 weeks flower. plants grew short and lots of fat buds. best harvest yet.

3rd- the last few weeks of flower i noticed the soil mites. just slowed bugs back until harvest. stretched a lot. had some big cola but were so airy i said fuck it and turned it all into iso. sorry this is the only pic i could find.

4th-harvest was a new strain big bud x northern lights auto. still had bugs but killed them off completely about 4 weeks before harvest. as a single plant is was my highest yield yet. it wasnt as airy as the 3 harvest but was still pretty thin.

  • i use a 2011 tri band full spectrum for veg/clones/mothers.
  • i use a pro grow 180 for flower. 4th harvest i added a a triband fullspectrum as side lighting with the pg180. but i had two thc bombs that took basically all of the side lighting.
  • lights are 4 in from top cola and 12 in away from bottoms. everything else is in between.
  • good more then enough ventilation and good air movement.
  • ffof soil.
  • jacks classics nuts and i use molasses in flowering.
  • strain was blue dream
  • since buds were thin i just added uvb light the other day hoping to get more trichs. working great so far.

they smell and taste so damn good but are thin. why are buds so thin? is the light too close? they look like they love it and no bleaching.
could it be the nutes? i dont have the most accurate feeding schedule but they def don't go Hungary.
what am i doing wrong and how can i fix it? iv seen pro grow produce some fat ass colas on line.

thanks for your thoughts and ideas :peace:

Get more light, get heavier indica, and what's up with all the bugs?

Don't top so many times and you'll have bigger colas-buds....super cropping helps too

Sounds like u don't have enough light or its too far away. You need to invest in a better soil/medium if mites keep reaccuring.

It does sound to me that you're harvesting too early, otherwise, as said, get more lights.
