Buds dont Swell Bolting

Ive been growing a while and the last few runs around week 5 to 6 in flower, instead of slowing down on the stretch and start to plump up. They keep stretching with thumb size wispy buds that never swell. Looks like cabbage with long segments between small buds. Before week 5 to 6 it looks like a great run. The buds never swell and finish small, thumb size. Growing in 5 gal. pots with core under 1000's. Plants are well fed, genetics are good, SD. Temps are between 67 and 80 light on. 59 to 64 light off. Lots of fresh air, no light leaks. Feed rates based on PPM's of Nitrogen. Start at 175 and moves up to 275 then back to 170 or less at end of run. Using Cutting Edge products. There's no beginner mistakes being made. Ive been advised of these possibilities. 1- over watering 2- light leak or light pollution. 3 -Too low of temps or swing of temps. 4- genetics 5- too much Nitrogen thru bloom. This has been a total mind fukk. Help

What genetics are they to be classified as not the issue and have you run the exact same genetics before in the past to be comparing with?

Damn dude. Got me too. I would go with a different strain though.

How old is the bulb...Maybe its running out of juice my buddys did that to him on a 1000w light to his last run sucked becuz the light was dead but running ya know..he got 2.5OZ of 5 plants lol...But maybe its sumthing else but sounds like ur good...

nothing bigger than lighter size nuugs....

Hey man, I have had this once or twice before. In fact, I still have plants right now that are totally on the mend from this.

They were Sour Diesel and bubblegum. I got them to plump up, but for a couple of weeks, they looked like re-vegging but not.. just ... elongating.. ellllongating whispy nuggets on 3.5 foot huge plants.


Get this tho -- it is on 1/3 to 1/2 of my room on which this happened. Also, I know these strains for many years. Also, the whole room is on ONE hydro system, yet only 1/3 to 1/2 of the room did the crazy elongation nuggets. Super curious...

I did have 2 or 3 light leak nights when I left the adjacent room open. The light would have been strongest on this side of the room, the very plants that stretched extra into the whispyness.

I also know that I was overdoing additives, especially Fulvic Acid. I had way too much fulvic in my mix. I globbed on the additives too much at that time.

I backed off the additives and stopped the light leak situations and these things fattened up and are giant huge baseball bat and bigger colas now..

In fact, A few huge branched snapped off due to their humongous weight. they are a week or two early for my taste (which is I like to leaves plants to get super ripe).

I am smoking a bubblegum nugget of one of these very plants right now and it turned out great -- even for early weed. I haven't had to smoke early weed in years and I just did on a whim.. Very zippy!!
