Buds not dense

I’ve done a grow before a few years ago did some research tried some techniques and all went well.
This time I did the same I lollipopped the plants a week into flower maybe a little early and not enough. because they stretched like mad after and was so bushy that almost no light passed the top colas and was a lot of growth underneath. I see a post about defoliating and decided to try that but I didn’t notice it saying not to do so after well 3. At this point I was at week 6 and went to town.
Realising my mistake I though they’d turn hermie but so far so good.
now I’m week 8 and they haven’t really changed in size or density. some of the hairs are darkening but there’s new hairs coming through daily. Can’t really see the new hairs in pics but il add some.
do I just cut them down and learn a lesson or let them go on for longer?p.s I’m boring if waiting and there’s so many trichomes

I would let them go longer, your seeing what i call the second wave, new growth just when you thought they was almost ready, defoliating late can slow down how quickly your plants mature, look good though

My first time the colas were huge was having to tie the stems up left right and centre.
this time they just seem fluffy a weightless and are smaller then they look in the photo. Probably the size of an egg at the top main colas.
Maybe I just got lucky first time round?
just don’t want to chop if there’s any chance they might swell but don’t want too overcook them!

Is it the same strain? And is the light distance and everything else the same as the first round?

You beat me to it Tiflis.

Probably wouldnt hurt to add more light if you have them available, but you said yourself it was better with the same setup before.
Is it the same strain from the same seeds as last time?
Maybe you slowed it down a bit with your defoliation. I would just let them go though, it sounds like theyre still growing plenty if theyre still pushing new hairs daily.

Supposedly super lemon haze but doesn’t look anything like any photos I’ve searched but they do smell very zesty
I knew they looked familiar, we get alot of star dawg and lemon haze round where im from, yeah they need longer mate
Youll notice every strain is a little bit different. You can even get different phenotypes across the same set of seeds and have fairly different plants of the same strain.
yeah i have had some finish up at 3ft and some at 6ft same seeds same pack
